What can I say Paul, I would happily have every one of the cars you shot (apart from the fancy Lamborghini ) - that is my kind of car spotting heaven. I know it shouldn't be the pick of Jerry's sightings, but I somehow don't mind the Mk 10. BTW, who is the young scamp on your new avatar Jerry?

Glad to be of service Martin! The Lambo (and Ferrari) are so unsuitable for Sicilian roads - the Fiat 500 and scooters on the other hand…..
I saw a young man on a scooter slow down and smack an attractive young lady on the backside before shouting something to her - i do think he knew her but it would be hard to picture a more Italian scene….

I guess that since I have seen the Mk 10 before, it doesn't carry the same "shock" value it did a decade ago. It certainly still rankles the purists and you do rarely see an original Mk 10 or 420 anymore. However, it is an extremely well done conversion and the detail and craftsmanship is outstanding. You can't help but appreciate that. The color scheme is pretty good too! As I started my eighth decade of travelling around the sun recently, I felt it was time to select a new avatar that reflects my state of mind. Still crazy after all these years!

If you have the time, here is a link to a video of the show this past weekend I posted pictures from. It will give you a flavor of why we go every year. Oh, and there is a certain white Jaguar shown at about the 23 minute mark and you can see its owner behind on the left. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkXD_S7XtNE

Hmmm, a white XJ Coupe with a red interior, you might make me a Jaguar fan yet!

Your Jaguar is gorgeous and, there’s the Bentley you were asking me about (the 3 1/2 litre saloon by Park Ward). What a gathering of beauties!

Was out for a walk this morning and spotted this rarity. It might look like a normal Hyundai Accent, but actually it's a rare, limited edition just for the Australian market .

Excellent
That's my nickname for a multitude of the little noddy cars sold here that people trundle around at constant speed regardless of limit or conditions because they have no interest in driving and cars are essentially white goods to them

The shitbox sign is so Aussie. I echo what Andy says above, virtually every time I venture into town or elsewhere I meet the noddy car drivers doing 35-40mph in 60mph limits, they're completely oblivious to any other vehicles on the road (normally a queue behind them). And when they get to a village with a 30mph limit they just continue blindly on at 40. And they don't notice pedestrians either.

Last Sunday was the second classic vehicle morning at a local garden centre and as it is on the way to the model swapmeet I decided to pop in for a short while. Sadly I was in my Focus as wait for it, my Impala is still away and I just haven't bothered to wake up my Anglia. Anyway I took a few photos. Skoda Felicia Fun pickup which is pretty rare. Nice to see one. Very white C3 Corvette These where everywhere years ago as the ADO16 was Britain's best selling car for years. It was also one of Britain's best rusters which is why so few are left. This is the Morris 1100 version. Lovely 1955 Austin Westminster A90, this is in great condition. Another rare survivor. Rover P2 or P3, these were introduced in the late 30s as the P2 and production continued after WW2 as the P3 until 1949 when the P4 was introduced. Mean looking '69 Mustang 351 Mach 1, sounded very nice. Very clean Escort with wrong wheel drive Superb Mk1 Escort van with correct wheel drive The Opel Kadett, the German cousin of our Chevette. It is the rare small block Chevy powered goes like stink but scary in the wet and dry version Two cute woody estates 1955 Humber Hawk, yours for 5.5k. I'll pass thanks. These are not seen very often and this isn't one of the best. The ubiquitous Chevy truck, no meeting is complete without at least one of them This Barracuda sounded very nice. This GTV was in excellent condition, I guess that someone on here will like it? Nice Mk2 Jag in red. Other colours are available. Tidy Mk1 Golf Sierra Sapphire Cosworth, would look better with the bonnet shut That's it, it was time to head off to buy yet more models...
