This is an epic decade. Not a bad car in between.

Of his ten appearances, he only finished twice and finished 2nd. That in and of itself does not tell the complete tale. Moss was a fast runner and with starts where the drivers sprinted across the track to their cars, was often first away. Being just as fast on the track, Moss was often used in team strategy as the "hare" to get the competition to run hard and break. This obviously meant that his machines broke too. I believe he was okay with that. While Moss was always keen to win, he was first a team player and accepted his role as the fast front runner. I also think he much preferred to run unbridled even if it meant not finishing, rather than running at 8/10ths or less, which was just not part of his DNA. I don't have the 1958 car either.

Thanks Jerry, He would have won in 1955 but for that terrible accident.
