I know there are Chaparrel fans on here. Spark have announced some 2D and 2F LM cars Since the Le Mans Chaparral's have already been done by both Minichamps and IXO, it will be interesting to see how much demand there is for these, especially as the Minichamps 2D has the removable engine cover with the engine details.

For reason(s) undisclosed, the USA distributor for Spark and Looksmart left the business a while ago and there have been no shipments to retailers for some time. Now, a new distributor has been installed, but with it a substantial price increase. 1/43 Spark models have increased about $20 to $99 USD and 1/43 Looksmart now $165! According to Mark at Replicarz, this is not a global increase, but in the USA only. I'm not sure how this is going to play out in this market, but that sizeable an increase can't be good for the hobby and hopefully not a trend followed in other parts of the world.

That's not good news. Once models cross the $100 psychological barrier, they have to be pretty exceptional models for me to part with my money.
These new prices make the discounts at Toronto Motorsport that Brookes flag even more of a bargain.

As seems to have been the case recently, Spark are following Trofeu’s lead and have started to announce the early 911 le mans cars which I know you were hoping for Ian.

Thanks Paul, I haven’t been that excited by the detail vs price equation for the Trofeu’s so will look forward to the Sparks with interest. The Lambo is very interesting too. It hasn't been done before by anyone as far as I know (I was always surprised it was never produced back in the day circa 2008, but I guess there were licencing issues). The Skoal Bandit Porsche was produced by Minichamps as a relative rare limited edition of 720 pieces (back when they would typically do 3 - 5,000 pieces). Asking prices on eBay currently reflect the 'rarity', but will no doubt tumble when the Spark becomes available: www.ebay.com.au/itm/313813439713

I received news this morning that Spark has cancelled the 2023 Le Mans #56 Porsche 911 RSR-19 of the Project 1 team - otherwise affectionately known as "Rexy". All is not lost however as it appears the team has given the licence for the model to another model manufacturer (IXO?). Let's just hope it's not Burago!

Or, as they did with the Frikadelli Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 which won last years Nürbürgring 24 hours, the racing team brought up all the production of Looksmart and started distributing them independently for exclusivity reasons.
