I wonder how they can get it so badly wrong in the age where you can either get CAD files from the manufacturer or 3D scan a real car. Dividing by 43 can't be that hard... I get that you have to compensate for distortion due to viewing angle but this is off in every way. And the colour too, which is very easy to match using swatches. Shame, because it’s a nice model otherwise.

I had no idea TSM were doing a "budget" version - that's going to get confusing further down the line, especially when unscrupulous sellers take advantage of unsuspecting buyers (a very similar problem to that caused by Spark's 'budget' line).
The 'proper' TSM's come up on sale from time to time. I was lucky enough to get one of the 2018 Le Mans cars for less than US$40 from SPR in a July sale. At that price, there's no point chasing the inferior versions.

TSM Vs IXO I am afraid IXO dropped the ball here on the shape and proportions. TSM is much nicer

Another new Ford GT model in my collection, once again replacing a model that already have, but found unsatisfactory. Ken Miles 1966 Ford GT40 by CMR by Michael, on Flickr Ken Miles 1966 Ford GT40 by CMR. Ever since the movie Ford v Ferrari came out, I've been thinking that I should upgrade my Bang version of Ken Miles car. This version by CMR looked like a good candidate for the job. Comparison: Ken Miles 1966 Ford GT40 by CMR (PTC) and Bang by Michael, on Flickr Mk II Ford GT 40s by Michael, on Flickr It fits right in with my IXO GT40s, because it is one. Mk II Ford GT40s by Michael, on Flickr Both are IXO (PTC) models, but the Ken Miles car is marketed as a CMR (Collectable Model Replicas). I just noticed a difference -- different type of screwheads.

Ford GT 2017 in 1:43 scale plain red road version? - have tried searching 'eb..) but no success. The reason I ask is I have seen one in a show case with other models owned by a collector. Plenty of blue with stripes but no red road versions.

Nice trio of GTs. I think I had a GT70 as a kid, Matchbox?
CMR is CK-Modelcars' own brand, indeed sourced from PCT castings but there might be a few newly-commissioned models in there too. I'd noticed they don't use the Ixo screws also, I wonder what the reason for that is.
