That's a very impressive collection of rally cars Andy, especially all the Audi's! It reminded me, you are probably the expert on Quattro models. Did they make one of the 1984 Cyprus winner? A friend acquired this trophy a while back. I thought it would be fun to make a small diorama for him using the trophy if I could find a model. We are not sure of the trophy's origins, but think it must have been a commemorative trophy of the Audi win (crew, sponsors, etc.). The winning driver was American John Buffum. It does not look like the trophies the winners are holding on the podium. Its a fairly nice trophy, any ideas? No Jerry, they haven’t made it yet but it looks like a conversion of the 1984 rac rally buffum car that trofeu did should be relatively straightforward

Thanks Jerry
As Paul advises this is one that has not been made but I can tell you the following details
As you note John Buffum was the winner with co-driver Fred Gallagher, and they used a David Sutton Motorsport A2 Quattro registration WMN 44 with BF Goodrich sponsorship and as Paul notes this is the same car that John used with co-driver Neal Wilson in the RAC rally 2 months later the model of which is higher up the page
Nice trophy - I suspect this is the manufacturer's trophy as you note it differs from the drivers one
