That looks amazing, just the right finish! Thanks, it's quite difficult to get this finish. Making the masking and spraying without resulting in thick edges between the two finishes needs a lot of planning in advance. Interesting contrast between the canvas and the gloss metal, expertly reproduced. Another masterpiece to enjoy as it unfolds. (What are “keders” Jean?) Thank you! Well, I say "keders" because I don't know the English translation It's the rubber sealing between fenders and body, which avoids squeeching and scratching of the body parts when driving on rough streets Happy to hear that, this is just the beginning of a wonderful "Horch story" Lovely work on the canvas roof Jean. This could be one of my favourites of your many ‘upgrades’. Nice to hearing that, it's indeed a car with a very strong impact. The reconstruction is painted cream/black, which may resemble the first touring livery. Normally I don't like black model cars that much, but I guess this one's getting very interesting, though. Stunning piece of work Jean. Like Ian I'm impressed with the result of the roof. To get this finish, is not that difficult: Foundation for the complete car was matte black, airbrushed. Then the body was masked to varnish hood and fenders, afterwards hood and fenders were masked and the body sprayed with a thin mist of silk matte nitro varnish, just spraying in a longer distance over and over again. That's all ] Some new p/e parts, but the last ones... Making the door panels. I've just noticed that I've obviously forgotten to take some pictures of the finished panels with window winders, openers and handles Well, as there are no pictures of the original interior, I copied the layout of another type 830, and they all had rather simple interior designs, as the 830 was the "small & cheap" Horch with standardized bodies and equipment, especially for this car, which was designed for participating races. The completed dashboard. Just when I had finished this item and mounted into the car, I learnt that this design was that of the second/last series of the Horch 830 However, the interior is hardly to be seen in this car, as the window panes are really narrow, so I guess I can live with that issue. A simple interior, painted light gray to give some brightness to the car. By the way, here's the "keder", made from 0.3mm black wire. Standing on her feet, all touching the ground Equipped with some details, such as running boards, door handles and hubcaps. And that's all for today, I have to prepare for Mother's day

What a fantastic, fast-looking car! The black paint makes it look a little sinister...
What goes between wings and body is called 'piping', confusingly the same term as used for the contrasting rolled edge on the seats.

[/div] Thanks for helping I guess it may be better to talk like Marlene Dietrich, sis is not so difficult for mee and anyone vill understand It’s looking great already! Well, last mile has begun, and I'm surprised how bright this Batmobile is going to look like... Thanks! And this is just the beginning of the Horch experiment! And how kind of Western Models to have left those wonderful models, I wish I've had a notion of all this when I was a teenager... Raw material for the bumpers. Polished and straightened. Curling the ends. And the already completed rear ending. Headlights mounted. Half-round brass strip - but what's this going to become? Sort of propeller? Naahhh, cut-off, polished and nickel-plated these are the marker lights on the fenders Not so much left to do... ...but I think it's best to show the remaining additions... ...tomorrow in the "big show"

Amazing! There's no colour that works as well as black when it comes to contrast with the chrome.

Amazing! There's no colour that works as well as black when it comes to contrast with the chrome. Yep, that's right! However, in my showcase black cars always tend to disappear, that's why I have belly aches painting my model cars black Thanks, happy to hearing that And here are the photos I've promised yesterday: The streamline fashion, only a couple of years later!

Fantastic, another masterpiece! Thank you! At least it's the start for something really thrilling...
Awesome! Fabulous results, as usual! Thanks I'd call it a "smaller build" , but the streamlined body is really attractive, isn't it?
Very kind, thank you!
Thank you, and thanks for joining this topic!
To close this thread, here's the Horch to be seen in her new home, on "position No 1", at least for a while...:
