Unless you're into collecting high end models only it's inevitable that you have at least a few partwork models in your collection. What started out as models sold in news stands with a quality barely above toy level has ended up as a way to collect very interesting and varied themes, to add versions of cars to your collection you wouldn't normally expect to see models of, or just to get cheap models you can use as a base for customising. Overall, quality has gone up considerably over the years and now lots of PW models rival mainstream issues in detail and finish This thread is intended to show pictures of your PW models you like best, the ones that surprised you when unpacking and that have pride of place in your collection. Amongst my “Favourites” collection I have accumulated quite a few Fangio cars many of which have been from an Argentinian PW magazine.  I’ve bought these on eBay from a guy in Argentina at reasonable prices and postage.    Not bad models at all The magazines are good quality and give me a chance to brush up my Spanish! Google Translate helps.   Plenty of good photos as well. |
