Nice bit of history with the Andino Tom. Beautiful shape that seems more deserving of something better than a Renault 4 engine.

Pretty car, shame about its engines but I guess they were easy to source. The engine from the R16 would have been ideal ala the Lotus Europa. Nice model of a pretty obscure car.

That’s a nice model of a lovely looking car! And, about your Civic. It might be the thickness of the C pillar and the height of its front fender what makes it look slightly off! Could be Julio, I'm still not seeing it. Might be the perspective too. Nice bit of history with the Andino Tom. Beautiful shape that seems more deserving of something better than a Renault 4 engine. Don't forget that Alpine started out using a Renault 4CV engine, albeit tuned... the later 1.1 with some classic tuning work might be a decent lump (though I agree, nothing to match its looks). My thoughts exactly. I thought its looks might be your thing, Will. Pretty car, shame about its engines but I guess they were easy to source. The engine from the R16 would have been ideal ala the Lotus Europa. Nice model of a pretty obscure car. I'm not sure how much of this car's body was GRP, Paul. The Europa is likely a lot lighter...

Shelby, Roush, Saleen… there are quite a few options when you think your stock Mustang isn’t fast enough (and frankly, there were times when they weren’t). Generally, there were ‘show’ and ‘go’ options you could mix and match and some cars that came prepared as complete packages. This S281 was such a complete package. The showy bits were supported by a supercharger that added 100 hp to the stock 300, as well as a complete undercarriage overhaul. As Car & Driver commented: “…all of that goes by the board when you have your foot planted. The car blasts forward between 3000 and 6000 rpm in almost brutal explosions of power in the lower gears and in long, sustained surges of acceleration in third and fourth. This is what you pay for here, and at $51,934, you pay dearly. But for some drivers, it's likely worth every penny.” That more than doubled the base price of the Mustang, which probably made the Saleen not such a common sight. I was going to search for the earlier Fox body versions, but when Ixo announced this at their usual excellent VFM I decided it would be part of my Mustang subcollection. Love its brutal looks Ixo - Ford Mustang Saleen S281 2005

IXO offering up incredible value, this time with what many would consider a very niche subject. Tom, these are a very rare site on US roads, even when new. Don't you still wonder why there are not more Fox body 1:43s? They have become very collectible and a ton were made...the mind questions???

Brutal looks indeed with performance to match the looks. I like these later Mustangs, indeed there was one at a local meet on Sunday with more go courtesy of a supercharger, nice lady owner too. Excellent model, I shall have to track one down.

Not a fan of Tuner cars but this one looks great and the color is perfect for it.

Nice Mustang model, cool colour! Thanks Julio, I think it actually looks somewhat restrained in silver. IXO offering up incredible value, this time with what many would consider a very niche subject. Tom, these are a very rare site on US roads, even when new. Don't you still wonder why there are not more Fox body 1:43s? They have become very collectible and a ton were made...the mind questions??? If you consider that a Mustang is generally a bang-for-your-buck car, I'd say doubling the price removes most of its appeal. You had to be a diehard Mustang guy to get one of these. Yeah, considering the amount of Fox bodies sold, I'd expect a host of models instead of the one Neo made years ago. I'd say there must be a casting of that car in the PCT collection somewhere... Brutal looks indeed with performance to match the looks. I like these later Mustangs, indeed there was one at a local meet on Sunday with more go courtesy of a supercharger, nice lady owner too. Excellent model, I shall have to track one down. I've driven the base V6 model and it wasn't even remotely quick, Paul. With a supercharger, that would be a different story altogether. Not a fan of Tuner cars but this one looks great and the color is perfect for it. Neither am I in general Jeff, but this isn’t over the top. I think it looks quite good.

I added the Vanguards MG ZT years ago and noted that while I like the MG, my preference was for the everyday Rover 75. It’s a good car, still a nice design and these are disappearing off the roads only because of deferred maintenance- at some point the costs of repairs exceed the residual value and a decision has to be taken. Luckily, there are still quite a few on the roads. This Schuco Rover 75 came in the same trade that got me the Horch, and these two models made up the value for me. Luckily the rest was easy to move on and the net result was two free models for me. Not a bad deal Schuco - Rover 75

Long time admirer of all things Rover cars! This was really a lovely modern interpretation of so many traditional Rover traits, what a shame it died an early death. The blue is a fitting color and cream interior in buttery Connolly leather ALWAYS works on a British car. Now, has anyone done an estate version???

I do like the modern 75, such a good looking car with a quality interior. I also have a Vanguards ZT but I'm not sure if I have a 75,I must check my collection book. I would quite like a real version but values are slowly rising for the good ones while the rougher ones are being filtered out. Nice model deal, I have had that happen.

Another fan of the Rover here, a nice car with an exceptional interior. It's a pity this great marque was mismanaged out of existence. Nice model though the radiator grille is a little heavy.
