Beautiful! Simply stunning in every detail! Words do not do it justice! I would rank you with the best of the master model builders and feel very lucky to be able to enjoy your work. Bravo!

Fascinating history and a stunning end result of your build. I'm glad you built it in silver. Did I ever mention that I have a copy of the 1930s book written about Rosemeyer by his wife? Thank you so much! - No, I didn't know that you own the book, and I have to admit that I haven't read it. I'm simply too busy with model-building... But perhaps, once in while...
Amazing results, absolutely beautiful work! Thank you! To be honest, I'm a little bit proud of this build, don't know why exactly, but I love it very much, indeed!
Fantastic work. I didn't realise the quarter lights could be opened . I wonder where this enhancement will lead? You must display it with the beautifully realised sun roof opened - there's just too much lovely stuff inside to leave hidden away. Thanks a lot! Don't worry, it will be displayed "open" And where this all will lead to? Don't know, I hope to more nice model cars...

Thank you, I'm flattered, but I think this is much too much. I'm happy if you enjoy my threads and perhaps get some inspiration. I'm always only showing what you can do without having any fundamental skills in crafting.
We still need a clapping emoji on this forum. Take a bow Jean B! (Making a bow myself) Thank you! I'm glad we still have the opportunity for sharing all this here in the forum! I've never found something similar anywhere else. Of course there are forums in Germany, but I don't know, it's all so "know-it-all" there and not very friendly. And the French forums are rather chaotic (any Frenchmen here? Sorry!). So: happy posting & following here!
wonderful. But i am missing the feder protectors on the rear fenders, as seen on the picture with rosenmayer. Thank you! Ha, you got sharp eyes! I always try to match the very first condition of a car, which is rather difficult. In this case, there are photos of the finished car at the location of Erdmann & Rossi in Berlin-Halensee:
And here we can see that the car originally had no mudguards on the rear fenders, they must had been added shortly later, as it seems. And as I generally do not like such things which disturb the lines, I'm always tended to leave such things out...
Home (but not in final position...)

Many of us here at MS143 have unique collections. Yours however consists of nothing but one-offs. The true definition of 'unique'.

Such an exquisit, beautifully made model Jean. The figures and their associated history make this so desirable. Very enjoyable read.

Thank you all so much , and indeed this was my intention when I started model-building. It's a little bit overbearing, I know , but I've ever been a great admirer of Fabergé's "easter-eggs", made primarily for the last Russian Czar, which nowadays belong to the most elaborate and costly artisanal jewelry in the world. As I know, the late Queen Elizabeth II owned two of those eggs, now presumably inherited by the new King Charles III. However, this collection of similar items - "easter eggs" - , on the other hand each one a work of art of its own and distinctive to all the others, is a sort of idea I had in mind starting my collection.
Don't get me wrong, I really do know that I am no artisan, and that my models are only crumbles of a cake compared to Fabergé's eggs, but what I mean is the idea, the idol I still have in mind.
And that's what I still try to achieve: a homogenic collection of (wheeled) jewels, giving a complete picture when finished somewhen in the far future. Crazy, isn't it?

Quite the opposite. Many of us on this forum probably wish we had the same skills and endless patience as you. It is always a treat to watch your creations progress from a box of not always properly moulded bits to something exquisite when you have finished crafting it.
Keep up the good work!!
