I haven't visited this thread for some time primarily due to such involved activity with my diorama. However, before I move on, I would just like to say thank you gents for your kind comments ref the previous set of F1 prints. Framing ideas are plentiful in that grey zone between the ears and whilst this winter I have been creating other works, behind the scenes a few framing ideas are coming to fruition. I have always wanted to display my models differently to the norm. Nothing wrong with a cabinet full of 1:43rd but sometimes it's good to experiment. Back in the old days when we used to do "Secret Santa" on the old site, one year I was fortunate to receive the winning Le Mans Mazda from 1991. I have to admit since then it has been sitting in it's box away from eyes to view. That is until now. I have just completed a shadow box frame for it. This was my first draft idea. Eventually finishing with the below. I have many more currently in draft format and when time permits will post. The model is set at a 45 degree angle on black 1.5mm framing mount card. Behind the card are x4 45 degree angled foam board pieces acting as support. The Renown Mazda boards either side of the model have been printed and then mounted on plastic card, with a 45 degree triangle of foam broad at the back to enable the boards to stand vertical. This I find adds more dimension. The back art work is prepared on MS Publisher then printed at high quality on good grade paper.

Fantastic idea, love the angle it's mounted at. Makes it so much easier to view.
