What a great-looking car and model, and I love the back story! It is not a story, I am not saying someone took some parts of an original McLaren and put them in a fake McLaren. It is just a urban legend, which nobody believes. Glad you appreciate it!

Baufer GM proto The last SP. It was commissioned by racer Andrea Vianini to a car maker. The car was almost ready but Vianini had a terrible accident in his pink Baufer, and had to quit from racing. Since the SP class was suspended by 1973, the car could not be used by any other pilot. The car was not finished. It should have had an inline six Chevrolet engine but I guess it was never installed. Moreover, I would say it was never given a name. It was stored for over 40 years and now been finished and restored. Needless to mention, the model is hand made in wood. Postscript: Every thing must end sometime. The Argentina SP does not end here, but my Argentina SP models yes ends. I have other racing cars, but not SP, at least as of now. For sure there will be new posts about road cars, always trying to share curiosities or local models. That's All Folks! Gaucho Man

That's a very interesting and appropriate bookend to your SP collection. As always you did a great job replicating the shape.
