I have decided that it is better to present my collection in this subsection of the board. The other thread will be used only for sharing pics of new arrivals when purchased. Where to start ? Well, you guys probably remember but my main point of interest is 40s-80s Ferrari models. Also Italian made models from Best, Art, Bang, Box, Brumm, Rio, Idea3 etc. This Brumm has some enhancements, the wheels are photoetched ones from M4(Bang, Best, Box, Art) Ferrari 125 S - Brumm [/ur

Those are nice! I had a couple of Jolly models too, I don't recall which ones but they used to be fairly expensive.

Jolly Model is history now, unfortunately. I don't know how many of you know that Alfamodel/Alfa43-Top Model-Jolly Models were linked together in a family. Alfamodel/Alfa43 was owned by Francesco De Stasio (also known for FDS models), who was the father of brothers Pasquale De Stasio (Top Model) and Giovanni De Stasio (Jolly Models). Their subjects might be crudely executed sometimes, but nobody else made them in many of the cases, especially true for the early barchettas. Their open cars tend to look much better than the coupes, and Top Model was somehow always more refined than Jolly.

Great looking models, all of them! Andor88’s message about the De Stasio family is indeed quite interesting.

Beautiful models. Love the one with the opening bonnet, will keep an eye out for that.

As far as I know all their business is closed down, the senior might have passed. Anyways to my ranking the Alfamodels have the best details - although I own only 2 I can tell they were thought for a BBR level clientele, but also they are double-triple the price of a Jolly or Top Model. The boys tried to aim for the greater mass of the collectors, and somehow succeeded, with Top Model sticking up with Art Model, Bang having various line of products, in different boxes (serie Oro, Street Line), some of them became very rare, some can still be found fairly cheap. I just loved their spoked wheels, the likes of Matrix and Autocult don't always get it right even today. Jolly Models was always a bit of exotic, and it's strange how they overlapped with Top Model on some (375 Parravano, 375 Guida Centrale, 500 Mondial etc.). Before I knew the family story I thought there was beef between Jolly and Top Model and they tried to outdo each other, but now I think the brothers helped each other out, Giovanni presumably the youngest always going for the more extreme versions of their shared models.
