I for one like that era of Lincoln, mostly out of nostalgia, remembering them on the streets as a young boy interested in cars. Great add Julio! I included this image of a 1/18 Continental (58 or 59) with figures, just to show how massive they were/are. This model is one I couldn't resist even though it's outside my normal scope of collecting, both for price and local connection. It features JFK in 1960 while running for President and he was grand marshal in a parade near where I live.

What a gorgeous high-quality model! Thanks, Tom! It surely is a gorgeous model! Thanks, Paul! Especially that rear end! Not my favorite Lincoln but what a model! Thanks, Jeff! Not one of my favourite either but, extremely close! Lovely model of an unloved Continental. A friend bought a nice family owned 1960 2-door hardtop at the Hershey swapmeet some years ago, it was in superb condition. sadly he passed away before he could use it but his wife kept it, not sure if she still owns it. I have a couple of Brooklins of this era of Continental lurking around somewhere. Thanks for your comments, Paul! It’s always been a bit puzzling to me to know that 1958-1960 Continentals aren’t popular! I love these late 50's Lincolns and GLM have done it full justice. Thanks, Will! I do love these late 50s Continentals too! They’re so wild looking! I for one like that era of Lincoln, mostly out of nostalgia, remembering them on the streets as a young boy interested in cars. That great looking 1/18 is a 1958 Continental (it was the only year with those front fenders)!

The "T26 Grand Sport (GS)" was first displayed in public in October 1947 as a shortened chassis Talbot Lago, and only 12 were made during 1948 which was the models’ first full year of production. The car was noted for its speed; the engine which produced 170 hp in the Lago Record was adapted to provide 190 bhp (140 kW) or, later, 195 bhp (145 kW) in the GS, and a top speed of around 200 km/h (124 mph) was claimed, depending on the body that was fitted. This car has one of the last examples of Figoni & Falaschi’s design work. They became known for coordinating with Paris couturiers so that their cars were often presented at auto shows and concours d’elegance events together with models wearing ensembles and fashion accesories which matched their cars in style and colour. Ovidio Falaschi is quoted as viewing the firm as "true couturiers of automotive coachwork, dressing and undressing a chassis one, two, three times and even more, before arriving at the definitive line that we wanted to give to a specific chassis-coachwork ensemble." According to prewar French automobile expert and restorer Richard Adatto, for Figoni & Falaschi to finish a complete body required 2,100 hours. I feel that the design of this car is a very interesting effort to synthesize Figoni & Falaschi’s prewar designs with what was becoming the new, slab sided design language. My favourite part is the way the top of the door line becomes the beginning of the whole rear quarter! This is my second model by AutoCult and I feel that they did a wonderful job! Its paint work is unbelievably nice! *1949 Talbot Lago T26 Grand Sport Coupé by Figoni & Falaschi (AutoCult) 1:43

That was THE car to drive in '49 if you were a very wealthy alien from the planet Figoni!

What a gorgeous creation. I prefer my models to be non-black but this just works so well!

I love this car, so much so that I payed top money for the ABC Brianza version that came out a few years ago. The Autocult is nicer - the finish on the ABC, particularly the wheels is inferior but I've got to the stage where I can no longer be bothered to 'upgrade' models. I'm surprised that this is only your second Autocult - I would have thought there would have been quite a few cars over that past few years that would've tempted you.

Lovely Talbot by Phoney & Flashy (I just like that nickname). I like Autocult models and this is superb especially the paint. If I had more money I would add this to my collection.

Looks like a car that the owner would call security to keep me away from.

That was THE car to drive in '49 if you were a very wealthy alien from the planet Figoni! Haha… I’m an alien from planet Figoni but, I’m the poor one! What a gorgeous creation. I prefer my models to be non-black but this just works so well! Thank you, Tom! This one is a very dark blue! Thank you, Will! I knew you’d like it! When AutoCult models appeared I was in the process of slowing down my collecting habits and missed lots of their beautiful models! Now, I’m trying to find and buy some of the ones I’ve missed! That looks like a fabulous model of a fabulous design! Thanks, Marcel! I love this design ever since I saw some black and white photos in an old issue of Automobile Quarterly, long time ago! Lovely Talbot by Phoney & Flashy (I just like that nickname). I like Autocult models and this is superb especially the paint. If I had more money I would add this to my collection. Thank you, Paul! I’m sure you’d love it, it’s a stunner! That is an absolute stunner It is, indeed! Thanks, Paul! That is beautiful . It certainly is, Martin! Thank you! Looks like a car that the owner would call security to keep me away from. Haha! It surely is quite attractive, Jeff!

I had only seen that model in silver gray, which I don't think does justice to its lines. So I passed. Love the red! Excellent addition Julio!
