Models of these cars always bring back memories of a large bearded man from Melbourne who races one in historic competition. I'm sure it is struggle to get into the car, but once in he enjoys it with a huge smile on his face.
These Alpines are pretty, and pretty special, so nice to see a simple one in the correct blue.

It must have been a bitter disappointment to run that hard (never mind the expense), only to not be classified at the finish. Always like the A110 regardless of results. 😀

Classic being the key word here. What a rich car!

That’s a very nice looking model! I couldn't agree more Julio Isn't she just! They are not the biggest of cars that's for sure and I'm positive I'd have a similar smile Add to that, that it ran at LM, and it was a must

You think it's worth the add? I do. See my next one for confirmation A classic Alpine racer always gets full marks from me. Great-looking model too! As it does from me as well Tom Classic being the key word here. What a rich car! That it is my friend I'll happily take both your latest additions Andy. Alpine were able to field 11 cars at Le Mans in 1968 spread across the works team, Ecurie Savin-Calberson and several privateers, and it was the privateers who entered the newly homologated A110 in the 1300 GT class. Ecurie Léopard was one of the privateers, and they entered with the driving pair of Jacques Bourdon & Maurice Nussbaumer who qualified 53rd and would essentially like the other A110 run at the back of the field gaining places through attrition reaching 39th at quarter distance, 24th at half distance, 23rd by three-quarter distance and 17th and 2nd to last car home at the finish but with 215 laps to their credit they were not classified due to insufficient distance Spark - Alpine A110 - 1968 Le Mans 24 Hours - J.Bourdon & M.Nussbaumer - NC

They finished 17th. Classified or not, that’s immense in a 1300. Kudos.
