Lovely 1961 Imperial, I shall have to get one in due course, likewise the 1959 convertible is on my most wanted list.

I'm guessing you have more Imperials in 1:43 than anyone else?

I'm guessing you have more Imperials in 1:43 than anyone else? And he's had more 1:1s too! I'm guessing he'll have another at some point, just hopefully under the best overall circumstances.

Great colour choice, looks amazing! What a fantastic model. Thanks, Tom! I think so too! I was very tempted by a light blue version that they offer but, I felt that the trim looks better against darker colours! Thanks, Ian! This is an amazing education for me Julio. That is one huge piece of stylish metal in a very appealing colour. Thanks for your comments, Paul! Imperials were indeed quite stylish! Color is magnificent Julio! I would seriously love a 1:1 of many modern cars in those colors Thanks for your comments, BB! I feel that that is a timeless colour combination!

I just bought one as well Julio although mine is the pale blue version. There was a very limited choice on eBay UK. I also remembered that I have a model of a 1961 Imperial convertible by Brooklin in Caspian Blue so I'll not be buying a newer version as I can use the cash to buy something else!

The color is stunning! It strikes me as I see these Imperial models that growing up in the era when they were new, we saw Cadillacs and Lincoln's of the period, but I don't recall seeing many Imperials. Not sure why. I believe of its contemporaries, it had the best styling.

I was very tempted by the pale blue version, but I felt that the trim looked better on darker colours and went for the dark green instead! I also own, and love, the blue ‘61 by Brooklin. It’s a gorgeous model! The color is stunning! It strikes me as I see these Imperial models that growing up in the era when they were new, we saw Cadillacs and Lincoln's of the period, but I don't recall seeing many Imperials. Not sure why. I believe of its contemporaries, it had the best styling. Thanks for your comments, Jerry! Chrysler was never able to firmly position Imperial as a maker of luxury cars in the minds of the public. They deserved much better because they often were better cars than either Cadillac or Lincoln. Thanks, mate!
