Very nice and quite varied selection! The Triumph roadster and that nice 928 are my favourite!

Great stuff as usual, Paul! The Triumph 2000 Roadster is my favourite too.

Superb sightings Paul. As fun as ever, a surprise in every box as they used to say! That 'Celica' is actually much bigger than a Celica but from the same basic company. It's a Toyota Soarer or Lexus SC Coupe from 1991 to 2000. They came with either V6 or V8, sort of like a Mercedes S Class Coupe I guess? Lovely cars when untouched, which many are not

Looks like a good day out. I do like the R4, Cooper S, and 928, but my ultimate favourite has to be the Cortina Estate.

Brain fade subject is a Toyota Supra. Toyota GB used to have their HQ in our town so company cars like the Supra/Celica/MR2sporty jobs were a relatively common sight.

That little Suzuki was called 'Aerio' here, and yes it was cartoonish! I think it's modern counterpart is the Mitsubishi Mirage G4, which is not really 'modern.'
Do you think that is original paint on the Daewoo? If so, the owner needs to talk to the chemists at Turtle wax! Daewoo had the same fate here. Mildly appealing cars that were mega-cheap and fell like a rock. Haven't seen one running in years.
304 and E21 are on another level from ALL of these cars, even the Bentayga which I consider absolutely ridiculous, despite admiring almost ever other model the company makes.
That HHR must share the same paint codes as the Polo, a color that probably did not exist for either when new. Tom you're living a car spotters dream!

I love that little Peugeot convertible! Would really like one in 1/43 scale!
The Suzuki was also called Aerio in Mexico. I remember that I road tested one back in the late 2000s, it was quite a positive surprise but I could never get used to its odd looks with those ridiculously small wheels!
Espero!…not a good name, at least not in Spanish! 😬

More interesting 'spotteds'. For me the Audi 80 is a favourite and seemingly timeless design.

The 304 is very special - I’ll take one thanks. The E21 also scores good points.

At no point in its life has the Espero been worth a repaint Brooks, so it must be original paint. It's not FL here, cars suffer more from rainfall than from the sun. However, most '90s cars now have flaking clearcoat or faded paint so this might've been garaged. I love that little Peugeot convertible! Would really like one in 1/43 scale! Espero!…not a good name, at least not in Spanish! 😬 Did you know that the Espero was designed by Bertone, Julio? It's actually a proposed successor to the Citroen BX (which is why you can see some Xantia elements in it) which Citroen declined. Funny, the Daewoo Matiz was a design declined by Fiat. You'd say Daewoo was recycling failed designs... More interesting 'spotteds'. For me the Audi 80 is a favourite and seemingly timeless design. For me the Audi 80 is like coming home Iain- put me back in one blindfolded and I can still find every control. I spent fifteen years driving various 3rd gen 80s. The 304 is very special - I’ll take one thanks. The E21 also scores good points. Seeing the 304 - especially in that colour - made my day!

I had read somewhere about the Matiz being originally for Fiat. It was sold in Mexico, first as a Pontiac and then as a Chevrolet!

To further the Daewoo style inspiration comments, the Leganza, was a design credited to Giugiaro. A shape somewhat similar to the Jaguar Kensington concept car and which also inspired the first gen Lexus GS. Daewoo seemed to have lofty goals for the lower end of the market...all that seemed to matter was low price and even that could not sustain them in the US between 1999 and 2002.
