Nice! I used to have a couple hanging from my ceiling with nylon cord, but they didn't survive. When I look up for a plane nowadays it's invariably the police helicopter or the medivac.

My favorite planes have propellers and like you, I started collecting them but quickly ran out of room.
You sure have hit the high notes with your group.

Another one time aircraft kit builder here. My parents were both in the RAF during WWII. I grew up hearing about Lancaster Bombers/Spitfires and Hurricanes. My Mum's cousin flew Lancs on sorties across Europe but not a lot was said about that. I was imore nterested in Jets and a Boeing 707 was my first kit. That was swiftly followed by an Airfix Avro Lancaster with appropriate camouflage. I did build cars as well.
Like Tom as each aeroplane was completed I'd suspend them from my bedroom ceiling. I progressed to Revell and last model build was an Atlas Rocket and Launcher as the Moon Landings were a source of fascination. Concorde I have as a diecast model. I was fortunate enough to fly Concorde across the Atlantic in 2003 JFK to LHR before operation ceased. While in New York I took in the Centenary of Flight Exhibition at 1PP so all very apt. Now I live close to a major airport and glance up when planes take off. Also occasionally see Chinooks crossing the landscape to the north of us. Police Helicopters are based at a small local aerodrome nearby.
I always enjoy Andy's kit building thread.

Fortunately we don't have any police or traffic helicopters where I live, but we do have sky cranes and other logging related copters fly over periodically. There is a life flight base here, so they come and go, as well as the Coast Guard helicopters. The small airport in the town is a hotbed for experimental aircraft as well as antique craft. I see a lot of biplanes and interesting home built craft when the weather is nice.
You were lucky to fly on Concorde. I have never flown on one, but have been on one. There is one on static display at the Seattle Museum of Flight. Amazing how small they were inside. Especially when compared to the retired Air Force One its parked next to. An hour from me is another great air museum which houses the Spruce Goose, Howard Hughes eight engine wooden transport prototype. Now that is a big plane! 😁
