December 2021 saw an orange McLaren Senna join my supercars garage - Boy! do I wish that sentence related to a real life 1:1...
Jan to March has seen the result of a visit to Sandown Park Toy Fair in February. Snapped up a gold XJ8 by IXO, a purple TR6 by Corgi , a yellow McLaren F1 pw model as the first purchases of the year. Recent March adds have been a red Countach LP400 Pre production car by Maxichamps and a Yellow LP500 Prototype by Premium X.
I'm actually glad the 'Supercars Collection' has ended. It's once a fortnight new model purchase had few novelties among the 80 or so cars. Typically the model I really, really wanted was very near to the end.
That car was a 1:43 blue AC Zagato 378 which replicated the 1:1 which had been in residence at AC Cars Brooklands for quite a few years. Eventually sold at auction it's now in the 434 Collection in Hertfordshire.
One of the other problems with partworks cars is they tend to duplicate items which I'd acquired earlier from other similar pw collections. Often rendered in the same colours which is doubly annoying when they're a 'So,so' subject.
The best thing is having the explanatory booklet with the model. And yes, I know patience often sees pw models dumped at half price minus the books and on sale either on the 'bay or at Toy Fairs.

I don't blame you for not waiting, sometimes the time to get is when the getting is good.

For Christmas 2022 my son bought me the Peugeot e-Legend model by Voxxi9. I had seen the 1:1 at Geneva pre Covid. A really quirky shape beautifully rendered in 1:43 with flawless paint. The car won't appeal to everyone but for an electric it stands our as being different and will join my Jaguar I-Pace in the interesting shapes section of my collection. Will add some pics in due course. It's been a slow year for new additions (just the one!) after the deluge of partworks of the last two years. Attachments:

If you only add one, that's a great choice.

The year has only just got going and I've bought a pair of Maxichamps Lamborghini Urraco as I just had to have the two new colours - Red and Acid Lime. They will join my gold, orange and metallic blue Minichamps. In case you're wondering I don't like brown which was among the Minichamps colours for Urraco. Following those closely will be two Maxichamps Gallardo in the same colour ways. Will take pics when they arrive from Italy.

I just went for the blue Minichamps reissue, trying to limit myself on the number of models in different colours. Not going to well as it is...

Yes Julio, I do like the 1:1 immensely for it's cohesive design in a compact footprint. The Mebetoys 1:43 Urraco in yellow, orange and green were chased down a long time ago at toy fairs pre ebay. Partworks Lambo series by IXO provided metallic green and the Bob Wallace car in orange.
Silhouette which was another derivative was modelled by the Japanese manufacturers (Marushin/Diapet/Kingstar pre ebay and mostly sourced from toy fairs were added early on and finally the Jalpa modelled by Minichamps and IXO pw make a further twelve in 43 diecast.
In complete contrast I do not have a 408 Dino 2+2 of any description among my Ferrari collection but plenty of Farina designed 246GT 2 seaters in red/yellow.

Nice collection of Urracos and its derivatives, Ian! I like it too and have special fondness for its Jalpa derivative! Dino 408 2+2? Do you mean 208/308 GT4?
