I discovered this new trial French market partwork series of Mustangs. Ford Mustang Collection Partwork Series by Michael, on Flickr This seems like an obvious choice for a marque specific partwork series and I expect it will be a success. There are two or three in this initial trial that I am interested in. Hopefully they will be willing to develop some new castings as well as reworking old ones from previous series.

I see a few candidates for my Mustang collection. I hope they'll do a few Fox-body versions too, because those are currently lacking here.

Is this just a way to get rid of the surplus Mustero castings .

Is this just a way to get rid of the surplus Mustero castings . I wonder about stuff like that. So, the Mustero that is already on the market is by Auto Cult which is resin (pretty sure), can you use the same casting for diecast as for resin?

No, you cannot. But PremiumX has a diecast Mustero.

No, you cannot. But PremiumX has a diecast Mustero. Oh, right the Mustero... it did know that. I was thinking of the Miliano concept car by Auto Cult.

I've stumbled across a Skoda PW series from De Agostini that's been released in the Czech Republic. Most of the vehicles are road cars, but for those interested in race cars, there is also this model of the Skoda 1101 that raced in the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Spark to do this, so in the meantime this is an interesting addition if you can find one from the Czech Republic.

I saw models from that PW at the last swapmeet. They were pretty good (though the wheels on the racer are obviously incorrect).

Though the wheels on the racer are obviously incorrect. Yes Tom, I'm hoping those chrome hubcaps will just pop off with a bit of pressure under them from a sharp knife.

The 1990 Mustang GT seems to be missing from the partswork Mustang collection.
Cheers, Adam

The nice thing about that series is that it gives us access to some US cars not readily available in 1:43. Like most PWs, it'll likely be remaindered and we'll get the spoils for little money.
