I'd happily have that in 1:43 or 1:1.

Ford Escort RS2000 MK2 X-Pack by Vanguards. I had a chance to buy a factory produced x-pack RS2000 with the 2.1 engine and twin 44 IDFs an Magnesium Minilite wheels before i bought my Venetian Red RS2000. I always regret not buying it.

I like that model so much that I added it to my wish list. Great!

This thread brings back lots of memories from the time I worked for Ford, in Germany! Especially of my brand new (1986) Ford Escort XR3i and the RS wheels that I had, instead of the odd regular ones or the silly looking white wheel covers!

Interesting, an XR without the driving lights on the bumper. I always thought those came as standard.

Look like RS1600i alloys I loved the way my Escort looked with those wheels and I remember that it attracted lots of attention. That photo was taken immediately after I picked my car from the dealership. In the background one of the Ford buildings in Köln. Good old memories!

My dad worked as a management accountant for Fords for 20+ years and we spent 3 years in Germany with my dad working at the Koln location in the early 80s.

Replaced by cheap and cheerful silver Cararama Capri RS2600 with this yellow Minichamps model. Much nicer.

Avenue 43 Ford GT70 (here as it was developed by the AVO division). The wheels were indeed on too narrow an axel so, whilst you definitely should NOT need to do this for a model close to £100, i removed the Avenue 43 axels, whittled down 2 cocktail sticks and replaced them to get a better wheel fitment. I have kept the axels in case i ever sell the model.

Both the Capri and GT70 are excellent!

I agree with Tom. I still have my Corgi Toys GT70 rally car that I bought new in excellent condition and yes I still have its box.
