Minichamps: Simtek-Ford S941 1994 - R. Ratzenberger A watershed year in F1 for many. As a huge Senna fan it was never the same for me after Imola. The last year of good looking F1 cars? The Simtek certainly looked the part for me....I remember watching Mr Ratzenberger peddle an M3 round in the BTCC, so recognised the name when he turned up on the F1 grid...

21 Oct 2016 Next up 1992 the British GP at Silverstone and whilst the majority of the fans were caught up in Mansell Mania, I was keeping track on JJ Lehto and hoping beyond hope that Senna would put one over the Williams duo... Mansell duly went on to win, Senna stopped with gearbox woes on lap 53 of 59, whilst JJ ended up 13th 2 laps down. Meanwhile at the back Damon Hill had qualified the Brabham 26th taking the last place on the grid for his first ever F1 start. At the finish he was 16th place, 4 laps down and the last of the cars still running...and was cheered every lap of the way by the crowd. I remember coming away disappointed with the realisation it would not be Senna's year, but on reflection it was a great day out... Minichamps: Brabham Judd BT60 1992; D. Hill

23 Oct 2016 1990 - and a time when I used to look forward to setting the alarm to get up in the early hours to watch the Japanese Grand Prix as it happened (not anymore! ). The race is memorable for the first corner altercation between Senna and Prost - both ended up in the kitty litter after Senna refused to yield. It gave him the championship, but there was a race following that first corner crash, and it was won by Nelson Piquet in the Benetton B190, who was followed home by his team mate and countryman Roberto Moreno! Berger in the second McLaren-Honda spun off on the second lap and Mansell's Ferrari stopped with gearbox failure, whilst Alesi in the Tyrrell didn't take the start after suffering a crash in practice. This paved the way for the Brazilians to take the top two steps on the podium after they saw off the Williams pair. In third place came the Larrouse-Lamborghini of Aguri Suzuki at his home race. He qualified a respectable 10th and had worked his way through to the podium. A good day for the Japanese as Satoru Nakajima grabbed the last point in 6th! The podium... Minichamps: Larrouse-Lamborghini LC90 Suzuka 1990; A. Suzuki

As much as I like these F1 models..
I am really confused why they are posted in the 'Touring and Rally Car' section?
Or is the title of the group irrelevant??
