Cool! The Comet and the 707 have always been my two favourite passenger planes!

An interesting selection of passenger aircraft. Britannia was too late to the market and Boeing 707 swept up all the competition.

Love that selection! I have always been intrigued by quality passenger jet models. I always thought it would be great to have a cut-away model of a jet liner. but then where would I put it? The 1/1 of the Air Force 1 is parked in Seattle at the air museum at Boeing Field. If you are ever in that area on business, you need to go! I think they have more WWI and possibly WWII planes than the Smithsonian!

Cool! The Comet and the 707 have always been my two favourite passenger planes! For me the Comet remains my favorite Jetliner. Love the legendary planes Jeff! That they are. An interesting selection of passenger aircraft. Britannia was too late to the market and Boeing 707 swept up all the competition. Late but it arrived in style. Love that selection! As I'm sure in other parts of the country, there are one or two B17's that make regular stops here (pre-Covid), offering flights. I'm always amazed at how heavy they look getting off the ground. Unmistakable sound when they fly over. Maybe some day if I save enough allowance I can go on one.

Unmistakable sound when they fly over. Maybe some day if I save enough allowance I can go on one. Every other year that have a WWII re-enactment at a local airfield and they offer rides. I have not done it yet but the good thing is they fly right over my house at a very low altitude as they are taking off. Its hard to imagine how scary they must have appeared to those that were targeted. Reminds me that i need a Stuka You do.

The B52 is an amazing plane. Getting such a huge and heavy thing up in the air is nothing short of miraculous.

The B52 is an amazing plane. Getting such a huge and heavy thing up in the air is nothing short of miraculous. Especially with a full payload.
