Your Gehardt is a great addition Ian. Group C endurance racing was such a significant part of sportscar history. Have you seen the historical snippets on Dailysportscar web site of late. 2022 was of course the 40 anniversary of the start of Group C. I remember seeing this car at a Brand Hatch 1,000 kms event. Sure I have pics somewhere.

Thanks Paul, by coincidence I was reading the DSC features on the Porsche 956 & 962 over my morning coffee a few hours ago. I think some of the lesser Group C cars like the Gehardt get overlook by the all conquering Porsches, so I like having this in my collection for the diversity it brings.

Yes, I think I've got half the alphabet covered with the sponsors on this one Martin. In that respect, the 1985 version looks better than the 1986 version because it had less sponsors. Great looking car and I agree the less sponsors the better. It would look utterly fantastic as a livery free road car!

Great looking car and I agree the less sponsors the better. It would look utterly fantastic as a livery free road car! There were a few Group C cars that were used to build limited edition road cars. Here's an earlier Gebhardt JC02 livery free!

I think this one needs to be filed under "W" for "wacky" .

I think this one needs to be filed under "W" for "wacky" . Martin, are you sure you didn't mistype the "c" ?
