Recent flea market find, Skoda Octavia II Wagon, facelifted version. Only problem, one roof rail is missing and no box nor plinth, but it was only 1 Euro Maybe I could build one roof rail from scratch using some modelkit parts tree.

That is a pretty good model for 1 euro. Nice find! Thanks, now I just regret that I sold the pre-facelift Octavia Wagon with mirrors missing, it would've had both roof rails intact for spare parts Hard not to buy it at that price. Indeed, especially when it's at least mostly intact like this Octavia. Nice model! Thank you Now I have the pre- and post facelift Octavia II Wagons.

Nissan Sunny N14 sedan, 1991 by Hachette / Edicola. This model was recently seen in Tom's thread and his photos convinced me to buy this model I tried to resist it, trying to focus to my 80's car theme, but this Sunny just ticks so many boxes for me, that I gave in, nice model of an ordinary road car, and there's just not too many models of ordinary Nissan cars, at least in Euro spec (LHD) like this. Wasn't too expensive either, happy to have it Couple of comparison shots with the much newer Nissan Pulsar, kind of grandson of the Sunny:

I thought that was right up your alley when I got mine. It really is a very nicely made model and as you say, hard to find a Euro-spec Japanese car in 1:43.

The Sunny was pretty popular here in the UK, my brother had a circa 1987 1.6 hatchback which he loved, my parents had a saloon and I think an uncle had one. They were of course very reliable and just kept running as Nissans of that era did. Not exciting to look at or drive but they did what they were designed for, good reliable comfortable transport which is what people wanted. Nice model, if I see one I shall to buy it and put it into my Japanese section.

Indeed just the kind of ordinary cars I like, as of writing this, saw just yesterday a Sunny Sedan like this on shopping mall parking lot The Sunny was pretty popular here in the UK, my brother had a circa 1987 1.6 hatchback which he loved, my parents had a saloon and I think an uncle had one. Pretty rare event nowdays in my life, a new addition to my collection I've even sold some 1/43 models lately. This time an addition to the hard core of my collection, an 80's everyday car. The 1984 Volkswagen Jetta Mk2 by IXO:

Nice addition Dcast! This has always been one of my favorite Jetta generations - simple, but elegant proportions. Hear you on the rare buy Got my first excitement in months when viewing the upcoming AutoCult releases though...

Nice pictures! I've got that Sunny too. Was a no-brainer for me, because my parents had one. Too bad with this model they opted for a luxurious version, would have preferred a red one with black bumpers and without hubcaps But I'm not complaining, the only N14 available before was the most sporty hatchback which had absolutely nothing to do with the 'ordinary boring sedan' my parents had...
