Excellent addition, perfect for your collection. I'll have mine later this week. Sorry for verry late reply, forgot to check my thread after added the Jetta. Very nice model for your VW collection indeed Nice addition Dcast! This has always been one of my favorite Jetta generations - simple, but elegant proportions. Hear you on the rare buy Got my first excitement in months when viewing the upcoming AutoCult releases though... Thanks, indeed nicely shaped car, very roomy trunk space. In my case, when I've collected already most cars I wanted, and the lack of space, and sadly funds too, it is indeed rare occasion in my thread if there's any additions. Excellent! Great looking model! A friend of mine had one of those, so it brings back lots of good memories! Thanks, always nice to read personal experiences about these cars Nice pictures! I've got that Sunny too. Was a no-brainer for me, because my parents had one. Too bad with this model they opted for a luxurious version, would have preferred a red one with black bumpers and without hubcaps But I'm not complaining, the only N14 available before was the most sporty hatchback which had absolutely nothing to do with the 'ordinary boring sedan' my parents had... Thank you, I love when model manufacturers do these everyday road cars, like the Sunny. The SLX Sunny with body coloured bumpers was pretty common version, but lower specs were also very often seen, I think the L and LX trim levels had black bumpers here.

Today's additions, one of those models that I had to have, a red VW Golf Variant Mk3, almost like my dad used to have. Our car didn't have the roof rails or sunroof, and exterior mirrors were black, but other than that, this is the 1995 VW Golf 1,8 CL Variant my dad had, oh and our car also had towing hook. Maxichamps VW Golf III Variant in red:

Another VW, the OG Beetle by Altaya. This car was so common sight still in the 80's, that I wanted some kind of example of it. This Altaya model will do just fine for me.

Your photos are very, very good too Thank you Sometimes drove the Golf Variant myself, so indeed nice to have it. Many years ago Minichamps released a silver Golf Variant like this, and I bought it to my dad as a present, but because of some brain fart, didn't order one for myself, and then it was sold out, so finally got myself a Golf Variant model as well. Seems this Maxichamps release, both this red and the other colour met. dark green, is selling out fast too. Nice models, especially the Jetta wagon! Thanks, it's the usual Minichamps / Maxichamps quality model It gets a bit complicated as they changed the names for various market over the world, did they sell this car in Mexico as a Jetta Wagon? Here in Europe it was called Golf Variant, Sedan was called Vento in this generation, next gen Sedan was called Bora, and then for 5th gen, they went back to the Jetta name here too.
Love the Golf Variant! I can clearly remember that shade of green being available on the Beetle. Thanks, glad they re-released it in this colour, and in dark met. green too. Previously there was, to my knowledge, only the silver Minichamps release many years ago. Fun fact about the Beetle, it has a nickname "VW Kupla" here, which translates in English: "VW Bubble".
Here's another, VW Beetle was shortly made here in Finland too, I guess some time in late 60's, according to Wikipedia. Seems it's been only some kind of test run of 48 cars though. Still, this model serves also in my collection of cars made in Finland.

Sorry, my friend! I don’t know what was I thinking when I wrote “Jetta wagon”! Answering your question, that generation of Golf/Jetta was never offered as a wagon in Mexico. And, about the Jetta, it has had different names here in Mexico, the first one being known as a Volkswagen Atlantic. It surely gets confusing!

Thank you VW Beetle is such a classic and belonged to the street view for a long time, it was time to add this one and Golf Variant was one of our cars, so there's the reasoning for these. Here's comparison shot compilation between the Hatchback and Wagon VW Golf Mk3:
