That's really cool, even reusing the roof sign! Wonderful - I admire your dedication to the craft. I prefer your model to the real one Jerry. Watching with interest... Another great job Jerry. I'd seen the truck many times at cheap prices (CK Modelcars have it for just Euro 4.46!), but I'd never looked closely enough to realise it had the generators inside. Here's a picture of a Shell tanker with the Jaguars at Le Mans in 1964 that might interest you. Thanks guys, its a fun project/creation. I have a tanker kit about like that Ian that needs assembly and painting which will have to wait until the weather warms here. In the meantime, I have done some more work on the truck. I have a base to make next and some figures to paint as well which will keep me busy for awhile.

As a John Surtees fan I can only stand and applaud this piece of work Jerry. The NART car's livery provides a nice constrast to the more regular red. Who made the models?

The German GP winner (red) is by Historic Replicars and the Mexican GP car is by Brumm. I like the contrast in colors as well.

Simple but effective Jerry. There is also an Atlas version of Surtees' '64 Ferrari that might have a bit more detail than the Brumm: www.ebay.com/itm/403415111727

I found these acrylic display cases with a wooden base at a retailer I have done business with for many years, The Motorsports Collector outside Chicago, IL USA. They had these cases made for them that hold either 4 or 5 Spark models on bases (also have case that holds 4 TSM). I thought I would share in case others might be interested. I used the 5 model case to hold my 1967 Le Mans GT40 MkIV's, plus the prototype J Car. Sorry image quality isnt better, but you should get the idea. I like the idea of having a free standing case like this that you could do a car or driver theme in. Not cheap, but cases are of high quality. You can see their cases here: motorsportcollector.com/cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=102_103

That is totally credible as something from a LM parc fermé! Very imaginative and skilfully done.

Looking good Jerry. The nice thing is you’ll have the ability to swap the cars around when the mood takes you.
