That was a very clever way of using that cabinet Paul! A very impressive lineup of models too! Should be a great event! Clever, effective and attractive! A great looking display, indeed! What can I say - just look up all the superlatives you can in the dictionary and insert them all. I am off for a good lie-down now! Thank you for all your kind words chaps, very much appreciated.

Awesome looking display! I like the way it's laid out. Lots there but not cluttered. Great job!

Fantastic display Paul, as always.
I think that the script writers could have looked to this year's race for some inspiration - it' was much more exciting than the film!!

More art from you, you have turned a group of cars into something special.

Awesome display, again! đź–¤ Thanks Julio, pleasure to know you enjoy. Love it! Like you I got the grey 911 when it was first introduced, the current version has a McQueen figurine... I have seen these McQueen figurines Tom but I'm not convinced on the looks! Awesome looking display! I like the way it's laid out. Lots there but not cluttered. Great job! Thanks Jerry. I've always been a firm believer of "less is best" so to speak. The eye can only absorb so much in one go. Fantastic display Paul, as always. I think that the script writers could have looked to this year's race for some inspiration - it' was much more exciting than the film!! Thanks Martin, glad you approve. Indeed so. I'm sure we are all so looking forward to delivery of our 499P models. More art from you, you have turned a group of cars into something special. Many thanks Jeff. When I first started displaying models I said to myself, I don't just want to display car models in a box. They have to come alive somehow within their display box. It's a form of art work in some ways.

DISPLAYS IN SHADOW BOX FRAMESAs you know I did start my Picture Framing thread in "Other Hobbies". On reflection though I think I should of placed these particular frames in this section. They are after all a kind of display in a shadow box frame. Having now put initial shadow box framing ideas into practice with my first attempt using a “Secret Santa” model from the past (see Other Hobbies at my collection HQ), I have now produced two more. You will note my first attempt (the Mazda frame) is a little smaller in size than my two recent additions. I will be honest; this was down to “user error.” I have now discovered cutting the mitre joints on this deep shadow box moulding takes some getting used to, especially with the limited hobby type mitre cutting saw tool I have. The saw blade tends to flex due to the depth of the moulding which, has the effect of not producing a square and equal mitre joint and hence the length and width of my first attempt frame is actually slightly smaller than the intended A4 size. Anyway, problem overcome to a degree to the extent future box frames will all now be A4 size. That’s the intended plan. Talking of a plan, initially I will be concentrating on Le Mans winners for these deep shadow box frames, so one model per frame. However, as Ian has alluded too, I will later be including two models per frame using a different material/method of frame. Watch this space, these will be appearing soon once I have the Perspex box covers. Intriguing I know, but all will be revealed shortly. In the meantime I have produced LM winners for 1974, 1991 and 1997 using the Partworks models simply because I had these in my collection. I have one more in build, just waiting on the 1984 winner so I can complete. First pics of of the Mazda LM1991 winner from "Other Hobbies" thread.

My first question is, are you taking orders?? I am checking out the price of getting a container of Alfa models to you for similar treatment . Fantastic work!

Stunning - you are a MASTER at the 'art' of display! If I may ask, how much space or square footage do you have in the museum?
