A couple of weeks ago there was a local car event, for people who makes or sells accessories, and also for shops that do custom stuff. Among the exhibitors was Mr. Martin Vaca, who has very well known shop and a rather successful show on Discovery Channel, and who happens to be the person who bought my Imperial. A friend of mine visited the event and sent me these two photos of the Imperial. I’ve heard that Mr. Vaca is very happy with the car and, thankfully, he has kept it almost all original, except for those wire wheels and incorrect width whitewall tires!

That looks great! Not a fan of the wire wheels myself either.

It must be bitter-sweet to see the old girl again. Glad to see she's being looked after.

Quite the looker amd I like the wheel combo..could be worse with a big blingy chrome option and wheels are just an accessory and easily changed back.

At least you can say 'Been there and done it'! Nice to know it's being looked after. Of all my past cars that I've owned I've enjoyed driving them but never regretted moving on to something better.

Must be nice for you to know that it is being well looked after.

Beautiful Imperial, very underrated cars in my opinion. I like the wheels but agree that the whitewalls are the incorrect size, they are really for a 50's car.

That looks great! Not a fan of the wire wheels myself either. Designers after all! Sweet looking machine and I like the wire wheels(Kelsey Hayes?) It was indeed a gorgeous car! And yes, they look like Kelsey Hayes wheels. It must be bitter-sweet to see the old girl again. Glad to see she's being looked after. Yes, bittersweet is indeed a good term to describe my feelings! Quite the looker amd I like the wheel combo..could be worse with a big blingy chrome option and wheels are just an accessory and easily changed back. And, believe me, the new owner isn’t precisely known for his taste when modifying cars! At least you can say 'Been there and done it'! Nice to know it's being looked after. Of all my past cars that I've owned I've enjoyed driving them but never regretted moving on to something better. Well, it definitely was quite an adventure getting that car! And yes, I’m happy to know that it’s in good hands, but I still miss it badly! I like the wheel but not the wide whites. Must be nice for you to know that it is being well looked after. Yes, it definitely is nice to know that, and also that it’s becoming sort of famous! Beautiful Imperial, very underrated cars in my opinion. I like the wheels but agree that the whitewalls are the incorrect size, they are really for a 50's car. Thanks! Extremely underrated cars, Paul!

Another thread that I 'missed', really need to up my site nav skills! What a fond memory Julio! My Dad and I seeing this in person back on the Summer of 2018...can you believe it's been THAT long ago! She is looking magnificent! The paint, trim, even the 'stance-sit height' looks better than before? I do think the tires are not helping, yet I do not mind the rims. SO very impressed with these old Imperials! As late, have been studying the fuselage cars which I can relate to a little better since I actually remember seeing them as a little kid! Even had family members who had some new (Chrysler versions). I know it must be bittersweet, but hopefully you can just retain the sweet memories and the bitter that came along has left your recollection. Like others have said, it's really good that you got to live this dream, even if it wasn't all perfect. Plus, you have the memories of your previous classics too! Many of us here have never owned a classic, but maybe that's why we collect tiny cars

@ BB, if you click on 'Home' top left and then scroll all the way down you will see 'Recent threads' which shows you all recent activity, not just the threads you've participated in.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have been able to own this beautiful Imperial, as well as the ones that I owned before. And, I must confess that I’m certain that there’s still at least one more Imperial in my future! Your comment was missing from this thread, my dear friend! Without your help the amazing adventure of getting this Imperial wouldn’t have been possible! I will never forget it and will always be truly thankful! I’m glad to see that you’ve discovered the “Recent Threads” button! It works great, like Tom says!
