The only Corvette I would have in my driveway (well, maybe a 63 split window coupe and/or a 65 roadster with FI & disc brakes.) ๐ Brilliant addition!

Posted by Tom yesterday at 4:12pm Aston meets Ferrari. Excellent! It does look like that doesn't it? Bit Zagato like. Posted by DeadCanDanceR yesterday at 4:22pm What a beautiful Corvette model! Thanks Julio, it was another bargain from a live auction. Posted by oldirish33 21 hours ago The only Corvette I would have in my driveway (well, maybe a 63 split window coupe and/or a 65 roadster with FI & disc brakes.) ๐ Brilliant addition! I do like Corvettes but I'm with you with a 63 split window (FI & converted to discs) or a 65 roadster. The C2 is my favourite Vette and I think it's just as good looking as an early E-Type which is probably a bit controversial. Onto the next model which is one with numbers. It's by Spark, an Aston Martin DP214 driven by Mike Salmon and Peter Sutcliffe in the 1964 Le Mans 24H. At the end of the first lap DP214 was running in tenth place, dropping to eleventh after half an hour. Early evening pit stops had moved the car up to sixth overall, but again dropped, down to twelfth place. However, after 17h 45m on Sunday morning they were disqualified due to replenishing the car's oil at the wrong time when lying 11th. The car still exists. It has friends, DP212 and a special DB4GT

You could very easily tempt me with those. Love the car, love that era of NASCAR. Fantastic.

I've never been a fan of NASCAR, nor of most other races for that matter, but it's hard to ignore the coolness factor of those models!!!

The Richard Petty livery makes me remind of the film Cars. Sorry, it is a is a conditioned reflex. Your models (both the Plymouths and the rest of the old school Nascars) are superb!

Beautiful Astons and wonderful Superbirds. I have a passing interest in Nascar when they were actually modified road cars so have a small collection of them too

Astons are wonderful. And I share your enthusiasm for that era of Nascar, great models you have there.

Nascar is not generally on my racing radar, but I do remember seeing some highlights of races from this era on TV when I was a kid - I'm guessing they were replays a few years after the races. The cars from this era are the ones that I would put in the "like" category though. these models are wonderful.
