Ok So purchased 2 new released diecast models from an Australian big seller with fantastic feedback. Arrived yesterday but one was completely wrong colour and style. Told him and he said return it and he'll send correct one. Gave him shipping costs and he states return policy at buyers cost so its on me.
Had to open a case where he still stating for me to return it, what a pain.
His name is Dennis...Dennis the Menace perhaps😁😁

That's poor form. Aside from eBay, you may have a claim through your credit card company if he has supplied the incorrect item. You also have a claim under the ACCC that requires "Products must match descriptions made by the salesperson, on packaging and labels, and in promotions or advertising": www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/consumer-guaranteesTell the seller you'll be lodging a claim with the ACCC and see how he responds.

Ebay, at least USA, has a refund for return shipping. I have had to use it before. If you have filed a case and its available to you, there should be links to it, or contact eBay.

Going around in cicles looking to escalate to get eBsy to step in as clear he not paying me to ship it back. No option but says he has 3 business days to reply or we come to a resolution di hooefully its autonated to provide me that option in due course.

So due to the repeated "return the model" line I escalated case. Surprise surprise I won and he has to pay return shipping as per eBay policy (tracked of course)
Gave him my paypal address and added in email YOU TO PAY THE FEES.
He paid my amount in NZD but minus the fees. Told him nice try make me pay fees..he supply screenshot showing full amount ( clearly before completing payment) but my screenshot shows otherwise of course. I have reported him to eBay and said to them I will record me packing the model with specific packing tape and identifiable permanent marker lines on that but really I am not happy to return model as Im positive he will either A) complain is wrong model B) complain is damaged C) complain is empty box or other
Any ideas what else other than go to my bank can I do?
Such a bloody pain!!Grrr

So after opening case and returning tracked got my refund. He out of pocket 2x shipping costs but gained so much more..a nice Big red Feeback.
He feebly attempted to open a case on me via the return shipping payment he made saying not arrived even though tracking clearly on my case.
Odd because he had no bad feedback up until then and could have just offer a partial refund and saved himself grief and money.

WORST EBAYAU SELLER IN ALL MY YEARS. Sent WRONG model, I ask him 4 times to pay cost to return, he REFUSED.
Opened a case & won straightaway eBay policy is "The seller pays for return shipping if the item was damaged, faulty, or doesn’t match the listing description"
Don't let him tell you otherwise by 'his' returns policy.
Finally pay me, THEN open a case on me saying not arrived. Tracking shown on MY case..Spiteful..
EBay had my back from Day 1. Avoid this Seller.
