I imagine many, perhaps all folks on here would have models of full sized cars they have had and possibly been frustrated that models are not available for some. Well untill last Sunday evening I was under the impression two of my full sized cars did not exist in model form, except in crappy versions or at a bigger scale than 1:43.
Last Sunday I discovered there is what I believe is a new series called Hi-Story, or Hi Story, by a firm called Inter Allied that make this beautifull model of my second car:- www.1999.co.jp/eng/10865834
Does anyone know anything about this company and this series? I can't find anything.
WOW, I was totally gob smacked and two are in the post already. I loved that car, an absolute classic, such a beautifull looking but also practical car. I was not one of the ones shunning Japanese cars in the 70s here in Britain, I was one very frustrated with the British cars of the day (except sports cars), they just had no idea about style, they didn't produce anything I wanted, but then the Japs came along building cars that not only fitted my idea of what a car should look like (except I did not like the Cherry saloon), but they were also reliable and practical. I was saying 'Well serve you right British car industry if I don't buy your products". This was a time when hatchbacks were new, I was intrigued by the idea of such a cool looking 'saloon' car that could easily be turned into an estate, and the seating position was so much better than in other cars which tended to make me feel like I was in a mobile goldfish bowl. This car was much more cosy and it made me feel safer, I felt I was slightly lower which made such a small car look like it had a long bonnet. I loved seeing that bonnet stretching out in front. I miss that with modern cars.
This company also make this Cherry's sister car, the Sunny 120Y:- www.carmodel.com/hi-story/hs033wh/1-43/nissan/sunny-coupe-excellent-gx-1973/50782 (a full sized version of which I am currently restoring) but I can't find a place I would like to buy that from yet. I hope they will produce a model of the saloon version of that one aswell. These two cars had the same five bearing 1,171cc engine except the Cherry's engine was transvers and drove the front wheels, the Sunny's was longitudinal and drove the rear wheels. Classics in every sense of the word in my opinion.

PS. I haven't introduced myself yet, I did on the old forum which I hadn't posted on for a while before it changed to here. I will do my duty on the Welcome board shortly
