In my “World Champions” thread I showed an image of one of my Ferrari cabinets which evoked a bit of interest. I’ve actually started to sell off this collection but thought I might post a few more images whilst doing so. I hope others will join in on this thread. The cabinet below starts in the bottom RH corner with a Ferrari 375 driven by Dorino Serafini to second place at Monza in 1950. Quartzo 4116 The last car in the top LH is a Dino 246 driven to second place behind Jack Brabham at Monaco in 1959. La Storia SF/09. I will post the next two cabinets shortly.

This is the second cabinet. A few have been sold but I have the photos. Also no World Champion cars are shown since they are in the WC cabinet. Hence I have a lot of Barrichelo’s cars in the final cabinet!

This model is one of my all time favourites. It is an outstanding Heco model that I bought in Paris on holiday back in 2001. I had just endured an enforced visit to Disney Paris and felt in need of some recompense. I will tell the full story later.

Cheers Tom, At the time it was the most expensive model I had ever bought, £125 back in 2001. I always like to get a model when I’m abroad, on holiday or working, to give a bit of interest to the collection. I could have got a Minichamps Barrichelo but decided that the occasion warranted something special. I bought it from this shop in Paris - http://www.legenderouge.com The business may have moved premises since then but still seemingly the same people. The link doesn’t seem to work so here is a screenshot. An interesting thing about the car is that it is done in Ickx’s race colours with the yellow Belgian stripe and side flash. Ickx apparently only agreed to race for Ferrari if Enzo allowed this variation to the Italian red. I’ve tried looking at photos of that Monza race to verify the livery without any luck. I presume they might have swapped cars after practise/qualifying. Any ideas chaps?

Very sad news indeed, Parkinsons is another of those insidious diseases we need to get rid of.
the late 1970 s and early 1980s is the era that I became a dyed in the wool Ferrari F1 fan and Tambay was one of the heroes from that wonderful and tragic time.
