G'day everyone. I've just done another model review video, this time of the Connaught Type A that Stirling Moss drove in the 1952 Italian Grand Prix, 1:43 scale by Spark. I also ask "is it ok to modify a model" as I did a little 'enhancing' on this model with some panel line wash. Does anyone else customise their models, or do you strictly leave them untouched and "mint boxed"? www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNOhUf5Pz-ICheers Mark.

Very few purists and quite a few modifiers here. Don't worry about offending anyone, we all enjoy the hobby in our own way and don't judge others.

Love the enhancements and being one whose not shy about doing the same, it adds to the model. I would buy it over a sealed mint model at resale as it's how I prefer to see models on display in my collection.

Never personally been a fan of using wash on the actual panel lines of the body (or actually painting them in like some people do when making model kits) but as far as the heat shield, wheel nuts and filler goes, looks to be an enhancement.
