An example how some acessories can help to upgrade some models. I've been using acessories from Remember, Tameo, Arena Modelli. In this case, Borrani wheels from Remember to upgrade an PW Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, one of my next projects. I'm open to sugestions from more experienced members, regarding other acessories brands.

I have used parts/accessories from all of those companies (tires, wheels, lights, seats, etc.) Tron and BBR also come immediately to mind. I like the BBR wire wheels because they come in more correct sizes depending on years of cars and original tire size of the subject. Their Borani wires are a bit more expensive than Remember, but have metal knock offs cast into the wheel which seem to be more in scale than the plastic ones. That said, it also comes down to availability for me and how soon I need/want the parts. It looks like a nice conversion job there! Remember does make nice wheel sets and seem to be more readily available. IXO with deep dish BBR Boranis

Indeed, and a car very worthy of the job.
I don’t generally do this now but I used to buy cheap/damaged/incomplete models as a parts source. Gave my stash away years ago.

Corgi John Cleland Astra with Minichamps wheels (I believe originally from an E30 M3): Altaya road going F40 fully converted to a JGTC F40 with various bits including some wheels from an Altaya F333SP: Bburago toy Porsche 911 Cup car with complete paint and decal re-do (just awaiting mirrors and wipers) with wheels that I believe are Renaissance: In terms of buying things, there's an Etsy shop called Gemini Model Cars that I find quite useful. They also have their own website: www.geminimodelcars.com/

There are always a few vendors offering accessories at our local swapmeet. Unfortunately, I always forget to bring the wheels that I intend to swap for size comparison.
