Don't say I didn't warn you? You asked
1978 Cadillac ElDorado Sbarro "TAG" Function Car in 1:43 by Autocult
The Cadillac is not really anymore outrageous that my last purchase back in June...
1977 Panther Six by Bizarre
Both brands are ones I've followed since I was a kid and the fascination never fades. Again, there are just so few new releases that I just 'need', so in a way that's a good thing.
OMG! Pretty eccentric selection!

I'll take eccentric as I've probably been called worse
I truly am bored with most what appears. Don't get me wrong, I still love the hobby and long for the day when I'm in a my new place with everything displayed. But there are just so few cars anymore that I feel I must 'own.' And the Autocult Sbarro Eldorado is one of them. I would actually welcome other 1970s Sbarros in scale such as the Windhawk, Stash, and others. Probably never going to happen but stranger things have appeared!

The Panther is spot on, but that Cadillac -my eyes, my eyes . I am intrigued by the word "Function" in the car's name - I'm not sure what function it could possible serve . (Apologies if you or your friends/neighbours drive one of these , judging by the flak you Floridians receive I'm assuming they are a common sight on your roads).

If the Cadillac is a Florida car, where do you put the gun rack?

Nothing says Florida like that Cadillac! 😆 Jerry, times have changed, at least in North Florida. For those with a few bucks it's either a Tesla, tacky Jeep/Monster truck or any of the German brands. Indeed, the Panther SIX was sort of on-par with the concurrent Townes-designed Lagonda for wow factor.
The 'FUNCTION' was that of mobile office. The person commissioning the car was an Arabian businessman who owned the TAG company at the time. He had hoped that Sbarro would build up to 25 copies, there were no other takers
Here's a photo of the interior of the 1:1
If the Cadillac is a Florida car, where do you put the gun rack? Not a Florida car, even if that seems a convenient explanation Don't really see gun racks anymore, in fact I think they're not legal?

I keep waiting IXO to have a sale this year, but so far, I've seen nothing.

I keep waiting IXO to have a sale this year, but so far, I've seen nothing. They actually did have one during the US Thanksgiving Holiday back on 11/22-24. Perhaps they'll have another one by year's end? If so, don't think it will be as generous as last months' offer.

As you have 800 odd models I'm not surprised that most new releases don't excite you as you have probably grabbed all the must-haves. I'm in the same boat, trying to cut back on all but the models I really need. With you on the Sbarros; ABC Brianza have made quite a few of them but there all still plenty more that need modelling.

Indeed, sounds like we're in a similar situation. I suppose other 'veteran' collectors have the same dilemma unless they collect numbered cars or Porsche 911s, ahahah!
I did buy the Sbarro Function Car and a few others in recent weeks. Hope to post a few pics before years' end.

Nice to see the Panther 6 here. One of the models that was a must have for me when it was announced, bought it immediately when it arrived. But, as with more of my extremely hard to find models, I've sold it again a few years ago. For a good price back then. But I guess I could have sold it for much more now. Probably wouldn't do that now, one of the obscurities I was obsessed with in my childhood.

Probably wouldn't do that now, one of the obscurities I was obsessed with in my childhood. It's a strange one isn't it? Unlike yourself, I dragged my feet and missed the first opportunity. Actually had the chance to buy one for under $40 from a retailer with the wrong market for this sort of car. Ended up finding mine years later when they were so hard to source. I'm sure you know that make Ban Seng also did a Panther Six, which is even rarer and more costly...but not necessarily nicer than Bizarre version.
Long-time Panther fan here. A few Limas, J72s and even more Kallista sold on these shores. In fact, the importer during the Kallista period (1986-1988) was actually in the next town over (we have a port) so I've seen far more than most Americans
Would like see a few more made. Matrix would be perfect for a Panther Deville!

I must say that the Panther intrigued me when new, but not because of its virtues or lack of them, but because of its similarity to Lady Penelope's pink Rolls-Royce from the fabulous Thunderbirds TV series!
