What scale Alex? Boats are a subject I could easily go down a rabbit hole with. Fortunately, I have restrained myself. Glad you started this, I will post some of mine. These are 1/43: 1968 Molivo-Alfa Romeo
1953 Timossi-Ferrari1958 Knudsen-JaguarMore to come...

I hope you will indulge me here on one of my non-auto related interests and passions. My wife and I are fortunate to be able to spend part of each winter in Hawaii. Over the years we have spent a great deal of time learning about and appreciating the culture of native Hawaiians. I am especially interested in their canoes and in particular, the voyaging canoes upon which they originally set out on the vast Pacific from Tahiti to ultimately discover the islands. A decade or so ago I bought a carved voyaging canoe model made from koa wood (not sure of scale, its big) inspired by the replica Hōkūleʻa, which was built to prove the theories of how the first Hawaiian's sailed from the ancestral homeland. One of my favorite boats! This painting was done by one of our favorite Hawaiian artists, Herb Kane. He was also highly instrumental in the building of Hōkūleʻa and was also its first captain.

This is yet another side to Jerry I knew nothing about! What a beautiful model and the lovely painting compliments it so nicely. How long is the flight to Hawaii from say, Seattle or ? Let us know more Jerry? Some of the best parts of this forum have nothing to do with 1:43

Let us know more Jerry? Some of the best parts of this forum have nothing to do with 1:43 We fly from Portland BB, but have flown from Seattle in the past. Our flights going West are about 5 1/2 hours, 30-45 minutes shorter coming back with the jet stream. Seattle is about 45 minutes longer each way since its further North. We fly to Kona the farthest airport South in the islands. Honolulu would be a little shorter flight time, Maui about the same. Interestingly, flight time to Kona is about the same as to Tampa. I agree. Always like to hear more about others on the forum.

I believe it is approximately HO scale (maybe a bit smaller).

I believe it is approximately O scale (maybe a bit smaller). It would look OK in the background of a 1/43 diorama.
