A very attractive car that should've done better. It's a tough race...

That is very nice and would be welcome here. There are so many hints of classic Italian racers of the era in this car and it deserved more success than it achieved - another what if story.

It is a very attractive car. ASA made some interesting small bore cars in competition with Abarth like the 411 Ferrarina, which I wish Spark or another manufacturer would do.

Mirage is of course wonderful. Who go the colour right is the question Did wonder when you'd show the ASA. Pretty little car i think with the occasional odd angle

Always wondered what ASA stood for.
I do like these small back of the grid cars from the 60's. They hold an atmosphere of adventurous spirit in the day.
Very nice addition.

A very attractive car that should've done better. It's a tough race... It's always tough when you bring an untested car to a big race. It used to be common that teams would roll out new cars just for Le Mans, whereas these days they've learned its better to do six months of testing beforehand before arriving on the big stage. That is very nice and would be welcome here. There are so many hints of classic Italian racers of the era in this car and it deserved more success than it achieved - another what if story. There are plenty of what if stories at Le Mans Martin, but I do think this would be a natural fit with your collection. It is a very attractive car. ASA made some interesting small bore cars in competition with Abarth like the 411 Ferrarina, which I wish Spark or another manufacturer would do. I agree they made some interesting cars Jerry, but would they sell enough in 1:43 to be worthwhile? That ASA looks amazing! Great addition! Thanks Julio, I'm very happy I pre-ordered it a few years ago even though I didn't know exactly what it would look like then. It is Paul. It makes a nice contrast to all the GT40 from 1966 that seem to dominate my collection from this period. Mirage is of course wonderful. Who go the colour right is the question Did wonder when you'd show the ASA. Pretty little car i think with the occasional odd angle Colours are always difficult Andy. However, as I mentioned above, the Spark version is a better colour match with the blue of the JWA Gulf Mirage transporter, so from that perspective alone its a better fit for me.
Obviously I didn't want to wait too long to show the ASA...it's a really pleasing and unexpected delight. Always wondered what ASA stood for. I do like these small back of the grid cars from the 60's. They hold an atmosphere of adventurous spirit in the day. Very nice addition. Very true Paul, though I guess this was more of a quasi works entry with the NART backing than a privateer garagista. Still, a welcome addition all the same.

Let me join the chorus, a sweet little car. I wouldn't necessarily have picked you as a fan of the ASA Jeff, but glad you like it.

As many of you will know, 1992 was one of the smallest grids in Le Mans history with just 28 starters. Nevertheless, there was a good variety of cars and from a model perspective the range of 1992 cars has recently been expanded by the arrivals of the Courage C28's from Spark. Yves Courage began his racing career in 1972, racing in various hillclimbs throughout the 1970s. However, in 1977, Yves Courage moved to sports car racing, participating in his first 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 1981, along with Jean-Philippe Grand, Courage's Lola-BMW managed to finish the race and take victory in the under 2-liter sport class. With this success, Courage decided to found his own company and began building prototype chassis with which he could compete at Le Mans. On this premise, Courage Competition was founded with the construction of the Ford Cosworth powered Courage C01 prototype in 1982. For 1985, Yves Courage signed a deal with Porsche to use their engines in replacement for the Ford Cosworths. To better fit the Porsche turbocharged flat-6 engine, Courage debuted the Cougar C12 chassis. This led to the team's greatest achievement to that point when they finish 3rd overall in 1987. For the 1992 season, Courage designed the Cougar C28 which was powered by Porsche’s 3.0-litre Type 935 6-cylinder turbocharged engine. Due to rule changes in sportscar racing, Courage was shuffled to the C3 class (a class for Porsche-powered cars) in 1992, and was no longer able to run in the diminishing World Sportscar Championship. However, three cars were entered for Le Mans that year, including the #54 entry for Bob Wollek, Henri Pescarolo and Jean-Louis Ricci, the #55 entry for Denis Morin, Tomas Saldana and Jean-François Yvon and the #56 entry for Lionel Robert, Pascal Fabre and Marco Brand. In qualifying, it was the #54 car that was the fastest Cougar, qualifying 13th. Car #55 qualified 14th, while car #56 qualified in 19th position. For the #55 Cougar, initial progress was steady rather than spectacular. From 14th on the grid, it rose to 10th place after three hours, but it slipped back a couple of places the following hour. Sadly, its race came to an end in the sixth hour after an accident on lap 77. Car : 1992 #55 Cougar C28STeam : Courage Compétition Drivers : Lionel Robert (F)/ Pascal Fabre (F)/ Marco Brand (I) Qualifying : 14th Result : 24th (DNF - Accident) Model : Spark (S3541)

This era of cars is still what I think of when LM prototypes are mentioned. When I see models like this I seriously wonder why I don't just concentrate on LM as you do - Oh I know, I would want every starter from every race!!
