It’s well worth the time an effort taken to decal it up.

As Tom said, a real classic. I had the Minichamps 1:18 but should really get one in 1:43.

Looks excellent in full livery. The epitome of a Le Mans car

Its amazing how "little" projects like applying decals can take a long time to complete. I have a three or four of those "little" projects languishing on my work bench. As stated by others, a classic and a great addition!

An iconic car and livery which I remember well from that era. I was at Le Mans in 1983/4/6 so missed the '85 race. The fuel regulations were stupid really, it was supposed to be racing not a bloody fuel economy run! Still it was what it was. Lovely model but I would never get around to putting the decals on, well at least properly so must content myself with an older not as good model that is somewhere in my house.

A classic. Really like that. As you say Tom, a bit of a classic. Can you seriously call yourself a model collector if you don't have a Rothmans Porsche . It’s well worth the time an effort taken to decal it up. Agreed Martin. The Rothmans decals on these 956/962's are not that hard to apply and mostly go onto flat areas. I really should have pulled my finger out and done it sooner, but put it in the cabinet and forgot about it until I was moving some things around. As Tom said, a real classic. I had the Minichamps 1:18 but should really get one in 1:43. Surprised you don't have one Jeff. Thought a classic 80's Rothmans Porsche would be right up your alley. Looks excellent in full livery. The epitome of a Le Mans car Agreed Andy. I'm sure you have many similar models. A classic, indeed! Nice looking model! Thanks Julio...plain and simple, just the way we like them. Its amazing how "little" projects like applying decals can take a long time to complete. I have a three or four of those "little" projects languishing on my work bench. As stated by others, a classic and a great addition! I guess we all have plenty of these little projects Jerry. Unfortunately, when you're working full time like I am, it's even harder to get to them due to all the "litt;e" jobs my wife keeps finding for me to do! An iconic car and livery which I remember well from that era. I was at Le Mans in 1983/4/6 so missed the '85 race. I'm wondering which model you have Paul. Quartzo and Vitesse did the #1 1986 winner and #17 1987 winner, so guessing it could be one of those. Thanks Paul. That said, it tends to be the '82, '83, '86 and '87 winners that are the most iconic and the ones everybody thinks of, so this 1985 car gets a bit overlooked, even though it still appeared on the podium.

I have to admit to not owning the LM85 #2 962, shock horror considering Mr Bell drove it. As you say it got overlooked and more to the point how many Rothmans Porsches do I need in my cabinet?.....Errrr perhaps I should make the effort to track one down.

Had this car finished outside the top 5 I might have let it go, but since it completed the podium, I decided it was worth adding.
I hope you can find one as they don't seem that easy to find. Try Cartima if you don't want to pay the ridiculous prices from Trax.

The 512's are ace and what's not to love about a 962? Altaya has proven that they can deliver on the VFM, And Spark while rarely cheap also rarely fails to deliver.
Nice stuff there Ian.

Just going back to your 512S Ian. I note Technomodel (I think it's them) are going to release some of the 512S from LM70 in 1/43rd. Price is obviously going to be high but I might be tempted with the N.A.R.T cars plus yellow Ecurie Francorhamps entry. They are sooo collectable.
