I like that a lot, DNC notwithstanding. Would absolutely consider it for my collection.

Some great drivers and a great story. Too bad spark didn't allow for some paint runs on the model. š Nice add!

Anything associated with "Gossy" will get an automatic tick from me, the fact that it's a good-looking 934 is just icing on the cake.

I like that a lot, DNC notwithstanding. Would absolutely consider it for my collection. It's not bad Tom, but if I was going to get on example of the Porsche 934 it would probably e Jagermeister version from 1978. That is a good looking Race car for sure. Simple red, white & blue liveries always seems to work well on race cars Jeff. Some great drivers and a great story. Too bad spark didn't allow for some paint runs on the model. š Nice add! I think the paint dried pretty quickly at 200kmh Jerry! Anything associated with "Gossy" will get an automatic tick from me, the fact that it's a good-looking 934 is just icing on the cake. As from me Martin. I wonder how many Aussie collectors even know about this model? Funnily enough this is one i like too I thought that might be the case Andy .

TDS Racing has more than 10 years of Le Mans experience and in that time has secured three LMP podiums. As such, their cars feature quite prominently in my collection. For 2022, TDS partnered with Michel Vaillant, the French car racing comics series, for their full season ELMS effort which included a Le Mans entry. The project was also linked to a graphic novel due to be published in 2023 to coincide with the centenary of the 24 Hours. The lead driver for TDSās 13 Oreca 07 was Mathias Beche who was making his eight start. He was joined by 18-year-old Dutchman Tijmen van der Helm, and Philippe Cimadomo, a former 24-Hour Series championship racer. However, several accidents in the practice and qualifying sessions saw the stewards take the unprecedented decision to exclude him from participating in the race. The decision from the stewards stated that the Le Mans rookie, āis not driving to the standard required to safely participate in the remainder of the eventā. The decision was made on the recommendation of race director Eduardo Freitas āfor the safety of himself and other competitorsā, the stewards report continued. The banning of Philippe Cimadomo saw Nyck de Vries drafted into TDS Racingās squad for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Unfortunately Cimadomoās pactice accidents set back the teams qualifying progress and they could only qualify 26th in 27 car LMP2 class, putting them 31st on the grid. Once the race was underway, the #13 TDS Oreca could show its true pace. It stormed up 11 places in the first 3 hours, and another 10 places in the next 3 hours to be running 4th in class and in 10th place overall at the end of six hours. They lost 4 places by the mid-point of the race, but stormed back to take six places in the following hour, moving up to 4th in class and 8th overall. While there were some minor movement in positions over the next 11 hours, the #13 TDS Oreca held on to finish 4th in class and 8th overall, finishing on the same lap as the LMP2 class winner. Car : 2022 #13 Oreca 07Team : TDS Racing x Vaillante Drivers : Mathias Beche (CHE)/ Tijmen van der Helm (NLD)/ Nyck de Vries (B) Qualifying : 31st Result : 8th (4th in LMP2) Model : Spark (S8621)

I don't really keep up with modern racing but the story of this Oreca is excellent, crashed heavily and then on to a fighting finish no doubt helped by putting De Vries in the car. Kind of unlucky then lucky 13. The 934 is nice especially as for you it has an Australian connection with John Goss. Shame it was plagued with problems.

While we all love the fact that Gentlemen and Gentlewomen drivers can co pete at LM (and bring bags of cash) but there does have to be a line drawn in the sand sometimes. I remember this driver exchange and having Nyck de Vries on board would have certainly improved their chances. LMP2s don't meet my self-imposed collecting guidelines, so I very much enjoy seeing them pop up here.

It seems that putting De Vries in the car made all the difference. Without that, it may not have ended up in my collection.
Similarly, I might not have bothered with the 934 without the Goss connection given the difficulties they encountered. Impressive performance and a very good-looking livery. It's not bad Tom. I'd say its also one of those models that look better in the hand than in photos. Chrome trim is notoriously hard to photograph. You'd think as a minimum you'd need to do a season of WEC/ELMS or IMSA before you get to race at Le Mans. Nevertheless, as Paul said above, TDS almost certainly secured a better result with De Vries in the car.

Angelo Pallavicini was a Swiss driver who entered Le Mans five times. The first three of those attempts were made with Porsches in the 1970ās, but in 1983 he purchased this BMW M1 which had started life in the 1980 M1 āProcarā series. The BMW was entered in the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans wearing a gold livery of German brewer āWarsteinerā, but it failed to finish. Pallavicini sat out the 1984 edition of Le Mans, but he returned in 1985 with his M1 repainted in a livery reminiscent of the Swiss flag as shown here. To underscore the Swiss links, he was joined by fellow Swiss drivers Enzo Calderari & Marco Vanoli. The No. 157 BMW M1 was one of three M1ās entered in the Group B Class. The Swiss trio qualified the No. 157 BMW M1 in 46th position, but had a great start to the race and gained 14 places in the first hour, moving up to 28th position after the first three hours of the race. They went on to reach a high of 24th position in the eight hour, holding that position into the ninth hour. However, the BMW then began to develop engine problems. By the 10th hour they had dropped to 30th position, before retiring the following hour after completing 116 laps. This was to be the last major international race for this chassis. Car : 1985 #157 BMW M1Team : Angelo Pallavicini Drivers : Angelo Pallavicini (CH)/ Marco Vanoli (CH)/ Enzo Calderari (CH) Qualifying : 46th Result : 40th (DNF - Engine) Model : Spark (S6412)

What a great-looking car! Shame its result didn't match the looks, but it looks good enough to add it anyway.
