The theme for my local model club's display competition yesterday was "D", so I created this "Dunlop" display using the Spark Dunlop Bridge and a small selection of Dunlop sponsored cars.
Unfortunately the quality of the pictures is not great because of the light coming through the doors behind, but I'm sure you'll get the idea.

Great looking display! I envy you having an active model club nearby.

Great looking display! I envy you having an active model club nearby. That's gotta be a winner! As always, very clever and immaculately presented. Excellent display! Bravo! I suscribe to every comment so far. Wonderful! Thanks guys. I'm quite lucky that we have a good club with ~75 members that has just celebrated its 40th anniversary. The average age of the members is 67, so you get an idea of the demographics. Fortunately the President, who is one of the younger members at the age of 58, is quite passionate about driving the club forward .
The club covers all tastes, from old to new, $2 Hot Wheels to $500 1:12 resin models. That said, I think many of our older members who started when Matchbox Model of Yesteryear models were $5 struggle to recognise the hobby today.
As much as I liked my display, I suspect this month's winner will be the 'Dinky' display for nostalgic reasons:

Winning or not having the chance to participate in something like this is priceless.

Just got a copy of Showcase Ian. Will be reading with great interest on this one. Nice to see the Spark Dunlop Bridge again. It would make to a very large and extensive diorama if someone had the time and space. Well executed.

Winning or not having the chance to participate in something like this is priceless. The ability to pull models out of my display cabinets an show them to people who wouldn't ordinarily see them is a big attraction Jeff. You may not have realised Jeff, but you had a small hand in the display - I picked up the 2010 #92 Aston Martin in the centre of the front row from you many years ago. I love that Dinky display of oldies too! So many great models! A big part of our club are older models like this Julio. I'm sure you'd love it. Just got a copy of Showcase Ian. Will be reading with great interest on this one. Nice to see the Spark Dunlop Bridge again. It would make to a very large and extensive diorama if someone had the time and space. Well executed. Thanks Paul. Like you I've thought about a diorama with the bridge, but I think this will be as close as I get.

Lovely displays, I too wish that there was a model club near me. The Dinky one appeals to me as I have quite a lot of old models and Dinky were a huge part of my childhood. I see the Mini Dinky Ford Corsair, I recently bought one in a rare lime gold colour that I had never seen before. The Chevy El Camino with a white interior is pretty rare, I bought one at my local toyfair last year, it's a bit chipped but not too bad.

Paul, where are you in the UK. There are several clubs that I know of:
Wessex Model and Toy Collectors - Club Nights are held on the First Wednesday of each month from 7.30pm at The MILK CHURN, Commerce Way, Melksham SN12 6AD
The South Hants Model Auto Club - Meets on the second Monday of each month at The Empress of Blandings PH, Romsey Road, Copythorne, Hampshire, SO40 2PF (The Empress of Blandings PH is located on the A31 between Ower and Cadnam, where the road runs parallel to the M27).
Coventry Diecast Model Club - c/o Midland Air Museum, Coventry Airport, Rowley Road, Baginton, Coventry, CV3 4FR

I live in Lincolnshire thus I am a fair distance from the clubs you mention. I did meet Paul aka LM24HRS and Dave aka Zeus at the Race Retro show a few years ago, their club South Hants MAC used to put on an excellent display but I think when I met them they said it was the final year that the club would be doing so. It's probably where I got the link to the old forum.
