My library is quite small in comparison to some motoring enthusiasts I know of. The books within it are very concentrated, on and around sportcars of that world famous endurance event held in France in June each year. It is currently a very generic library, but that could well change soon. I have at last made the decision to retire from full time employment at the end of March. It is time for a new chapter in my life, which I'm hoping will give me more time to read and catch up on the material I have purchased over the years, that includes books, models and kits to build. Therefore, I’m now at a stage where I wish to supplement the generic subject matter I have with books about racing teams, drivers and the behind the scenes stories that took part not just at Le Mans but also other endurance sportcar events. As a start I recently obtained a gem of a book I found on a charity website whose historical content I know very little about. It was published in 2015 by Veloce books. As the small paragraph in bold on the back cover clearly states, I’m one of those members. The book in question is all about the North American Racing Team, a must have for the history of sportcars.

This is a relatively new addition to my bookshelves as well. I am envious of your decision Paul - I am still waiting for the greenlight to make the same call!!

I love that book and refer to it often! I can see why Jerry. I've only "dipped a toe" into it as yet but what I have selectively seen and read I'm suitable impressed so far. Looks like a great read. Certain is Tom. I do like motor sport books containing the historical facts. This is a relatively new addition to my bookshelves as well. I am envious of your decision Paul - I am still waiting for the greenlight to make the same call!! Martin I sincerely hope your "green light" gets illuminated very soon. I'm over 6 weeks in and feel I'm getting the hand of it! You never know I might come a knocking near Bathurst time having seen you recent pics and exploits from last year. It's on my bucket list. Great book BTW, you will not be disappointed. Trouble is having flicked through a few pages I now find myself having accumulated a few N.A.R.T models

Great finds. There's a couple there that I would like, especially the Lancia one is it just the photo or is the driver sitting very much to the left of the steering wheel?

It's that time of year when we begin to see a plethora of books to tempt us for that Christmas sale. Here's one for your Christmas list. Yet to be Published, apparently due on the shelves soon though. A few takers for this I suspect. Please form an orderly queue.
