Which transporters do you wish were available as 1/43 models and which models do exist but are so ultra-rare as to be beyond reach. A couple from me to start with, one of each, although I’d love to be proved wrong on both counts! As far as I'm aware, there is no 1/43 model of the Cooper Car Co. Ltd. transporter as shown below with the T51 cars and team (John Cooper, Jack Brabham, Bruce Mclaren et al) after their first F1 win at the 1959 Monaco GP. Also, there are many, many models of Ferrari’s classic red Fiat 642RN2 Bartoletti transporters, but only one very rare Gila kit for the grey 642RN that preceeded it, which is a great shame as it would look amazing with the two Ferrari D50s and a Ferrari 750 Monza as featured in this wonderful photo essay from Life Magazine in 1956: selvedgeyard.com/2011/05/08/scuderia-ferrari-from-silverstone-to-monaco-life-magazine-may-1956/Which other transporters would be on the wish list for your collections?

I would list any of the St. Petersburg Tram transporter models, particularly the Leyland Tigers used by BRM. The Ferrari Fiat 800 used in the early 50's a only available as expensive Tron built or kits. Some of the OM Leoncinos used by the smaller Scuderias in the late 50's and early 60's. I would also add the Alfa Romeo transporters from the early 70's. The Ferrari transporter you showed of course, another GILA Modelli gem. Of course I think many if not most would like the Alfa Romeo transporter he did. 😀

I've only ever seen one of these for sale and it was showing the signs of extended display use, but the owner still wanted in excess of €1000 - too rich for me. Others that would be on my list are the early Mclaren transporters - pre-sponsorship, Yardley and Texaco from the first half of the 1970s. I'm surprised Exoto didn't try and do a version of the 1970 transporter with their ubiquitous Ford C-Type model (colour photo French GP 1970, #16 Andrea de Adamich Mclaren-Alfa Romeo, #17 Dan Gurney and #19 Denny Hulme, both Mclaren-Ford).

Yes, put me down for a $75 IXO version of the '50's Alfa Romeo transporter . Here's a few other transporters that I think are interesting enough to make economic/commercial sense. Early '50's Ecurie Ecosse transporter to go with the C-Types: This 50's Osca transporter is a bit obscure, but could still be a popular addition to the Spark OSCA's: The special Aston Martin transporter from the mid-50's should be popular: Another Ecurie Ecosse transporter from the mid-50's to go with the D-Types. AN interesting model to accompany the 1950's Ecurie Francorchamps Jaguars & Ferraris? Already done by the Peterson Tram Co, a cheaper more easily obtainable version would be welcome: This Aston Martin transporter would look great with the winning 1959 DBR-1 and its sister cars: The United Dominion transporter is well known would be quite desirable: The mid-60's Austin Healey transporter will look great with the Bizarre Healeys: Finally, I think Jo Bonnier's 1972 transporter would be a popular addition to his two Lola's that Bizarre have produced:

I was about to bring the McLaren truck Gio, I can let you in a little secret, it's currently under work on a custom build. I have two more ghosts, one of which is also under pre-production: The De Tomaso Pantera Le Mans transporter, and: The Maranello Concessionaires Bedford bus, that accompanied the Thames Trader. As far as Unicorns are concerned, I have a few of those too: First comes the glorious Carrera Panamericana transporter of Lancia. Then the smaller Fiat 621 Maserati bus. I would also desire this small Gila truck, the Bianchi Visconteo, as I have the two longtail Maseratis that would make it look ridiculously unbalanced. And lastly another Ferrari subject, pretty dull compared to the other available stuff, but a real subject nonetheless.

This 50's Osca transporter is a bit obscure, but could still be a popular addition to the Spark OSCA's: This I think it can be made from the OM Leoncinos available in partswork collection. Also model on ramp is an OSCA 750s, Spark only did the MT4. 750s was available from Jolly or Renaissance.

The small Maserati transporter with two Tipo 61 Birdcage cars is a masterpiece - even more so with the long tail versions - and the loading/unloading is a thing of wonder.

I should have been more specific.

I'd even pay slightly more than $75 for the Alfa transporter .

One of the models that definitely would be in the $75 category, and which I'd love to have to go with my Jenson Button collection, is a version (or versions) of the 2009 Brawn GP transporters. The Brawn GP story is really quite remarkable given the lack of time and money they had to prepare the car and that they only existed for one 17 race season (winning 8 and getting podiums in 15) and it's really the only part of 21st century Formula 1 history that holds any real interest for me. It would appear they had a mix of DAF XF and Mercedes Actros tractor units: And given the lack of funding, it's also odd that they seem to have gone through a change in styling part way through the season. This is from the Monaco GP in May (Round 6): And this from the British GP in June (Round 8): Or it may be that one of the above is a transporter trailer unit and the other a motorhome trailer unit and that they had different styling from the outset. Any further insight appreciated!

Given that you can't see the trailers behind the DAF XF tractors in the first picture, they might have been different from the outset.
