At one point grand prix models posted pictures of a built one on their Twitter, it doesn't look that good altogether, even built by a pro. At that price, adding a pro build up, for no less I guess, I'd rather wait until maybe Autocult or Matrix have a go.

Mark Sawyer <msawyer@greenstoneresources.com>I wasn't sure where to post this, so I figured was as good a place as any. Rio have produced this 'Bizarinni Corse' van based on the Fiat 238. It would appear the van is based on this one: I wasn't sure if the van above was real or a reproduction, but I eventually found this picture. I don't believe the van is a Fiat 238 because of the different panel line, plus the fact the 238 wasn't released until 1967, whereas the Bizzarrini A3C sport cars were mostly raced in 1964-65.

Too bad you need an ultra expensive Fiat 645 to complete the Bizzarrini set. Speaking of which, Bizzarrini at one point had a modified Fiat 625: Unfortunately no partswork series covered it, so I made a proposition to Ilario Vecchiato who made the model under his IV Model brand, as an assistance van.

This is the finished article from the Grand Prix Models Twitter feed - unfortunately not the most impressive looking model. However, it did remind me of this wonderful recreation of the Ecurie Balsa Renault AHN transporter that I saw on another forum based on a partworks model: Here is Marcel Balsa in his Balsa BMW at Rouen in 1951: And here are a couple of shots of that fantastic transporter. Any thoughts on the car on the lower deck?

The car on the bottom deck looks like a 1948 - 1953 Ferrari 166 to me with the distinctive horizontal running from the front to the rear wheel arches. The number position is also consistent with many of the Ferrari 166's. That said, I can't find a reference to Balsa driving a Ferrari 166.

That isn't a 238 at all, looks like an 1100T. It could be easily made using an ultracheap PW 1100T:

I agree with the observation that it should be a 1100T Tom. I wonder if we'll ever see any of the PW producers replicate this.

There are many great 1/43 models of Williams F1 transporters from the mid-1980’s onwards, but none of the classic Saudis TAG Leyland transporter that carried the multiple world championship winning FW07 and FW08 cars in 80/81/82. This is one I’d definitely love to be able to add to my collection.

Photos of the fake (?) Shelby articulated transporter from IXO in the other thread reminded me I'd like someone to do the articulated Cunningham transporter from the 1950's.
