If you want practicality and reliability, you've made the right choice. Not a car you buy with your heart, but with your head.

If it looks as good the stock photo, you no doubt got a great examples of well-known workhorse!
I fully get where you're coming from not having a tow vehicle. I really miss mine but have done surprisingly well with deliveries and 8 foot lumber actually fits in a Lincoln! That said, it's going to be a massive thrill when I have my own wheels again Would love to know more about your purchase? I think your choice is going to outlast a lot of us, hahaha!

Nice find Jeff. I have been looking at older RAV4's (among others) as my go to town/errands car instead of driving my truck. So far, mostly what I have found is expensive and high mileage. What happened to all the cars formerly owned by little old ladies that only drove to church on Sundays? 😁

Maybe they don't drive anymore? Just watch TBN and shop on Amazon
I too lament the solid used car at a fair price. Starting to wonder if and when we'll see some sanity again. Are the fed rate hikes ever going to work? Thankfully I have restraint/options and can wait...

If you're past history is anything to go by Jeff, within 3 months you'll have upgraded the wheels, lowered the suspension and added a roof spoiler. Don't forget to come back and show us the "before" and "after" photos .

If you want practicality and reliability, you've made the right choice. Not a car you buy with your heart, but with your head. Very true though I doubt there is a person alive who would buy something like this with their heart.
I actually had a plan in place to buy a car from a relative but that relative is freaking nuts and they backed out. Then I went to look at a similar vintage Honda Pilot but it was not very well taken care of. This one was sitting in the back corner, just back from service but not yet taken its trip through the detail shop. It was a match made in heaven as that is the way I like to buy a car. They just put on new tires, wheels,Brakes with new rotors, struts and sway bar links. Congratulations, nice and practical car and Toyota is as reliable car as car can be Thanks, I hope it lives up to its reputation. Nice find Jeff. I have been looking at older RAV4's (among others) as my go to town/errands car instead of driving my truck. So far, mostly what I have found is expensive and high mileage. What happened to all the cars formerly owned by little old ladies that only drove to church on Sundays? 😁 A great idea, I was just telling my wife that if this thing treats me right, I would like to keep it around even after I buy myself something nice when I retire. Sort of a beast of burden. It is a very likeable package. While nothing is cheap today, this one was priced to where i don't hate myself. It has 104,000 miles on it but whoever had it took very good care of it. No signs of abuse. Nice find Jeff. To me, nothing is fairly priced from food to cars. I think there is a drop coming, I was able to negotiate more than 10% off the price. Cash is always king. A very practical choice. It will go on forever Practical yes, forever? Maybe. If you're past history is anything to go by Jeff, within 3 months you'll have upgraded the wheels, lowered the suspension and added a roof spoiler. Don't forget to come back and show us the "before" and "after" photos . Well, there will be no lowering or spoilers but I have added a few things this week, Hood protector, splash guards,Interior LED lights, floor mats and the like, I have the bodyside moulding and rear cargo retractable cover incoming. After that just wanting to get the front side windows tinted. And I also did a big time detail on it, 6+ hours on the paint alone. If you're past history is anything to go by Jeff, within 3 months you'll have upgraded the wheels, lowered the suspension and added a roof spoiler. Don't forget to come back and show us the "before" and "after" photos . Ian, I think he's going to Bring a Trailer Don't you know it!
