I recently won an auction for a Spark resin model through eBay but when packing the model, the seller snapped the spoiler off. Unfortunately, instead of dropping me a message (I could have easily fixed this), the seller attempted to fit it themselves. I don't know what they did exactly but somehow managed to get superglue fingerprint marks all over a rare and expensive Spark model and effectively ruin it.
It has now come back up on eBay and nobody is bidding on it. If it stays extremely cheap, I may purchase it anyway as at the very least, I can attempt to repsray the model and it is not difficult to obtain replacement decals, however it would be preferable to just clean the marks off if possible.
Does anybody have any experience with cleaning superglue marks from resin?

So I have a superglue remover called Glue Buster. It's made by Deluxe Materials, and it will literally dissolve the offending glue. But it's a pretty heavy-duty solvent, so it will also strip paint too so you have to be careful with it's application. I've not had it melt resin or plastic but it sure softens it but it can be removed with water so i tend to apply it with a cotton bud, and then wipe it and the dissolved glue off with another damp cotton bud.
I suspect you would with a model like this have to repaint the whole thing if you use any kind of glue solvent

Interesting, I have a partially-assembled kit that I want to take apart...

That looks to be pretty much ruined.
