Hello gentlemen,
Yesterday arrived this Duesy which I have been wanting for ages. Namely, a Duesenberg model by Stylishcars Germany from white metal. My happiness was short-lived. The model looked like a white metal one but when I picked it up it was light as a feather. A closer inspection reveled that the material is in fact resin!
Any ideas what this model is? On the base there is a stamp saying "Stylishcars" but to my knowledge these should be white metal?
If I wanted a resin made Duesenberg, there are a lot and better options on the market: GLM, Matrix, Minichamps, Automodello, True Scale. Especially for this exact car, I used to have the True Scale Miniatures model and apart from the hood ornament it is a great model.
Any info is welcome!

I just checked my Wheels model car catalogue from 2000 and the models are described as metal. I didn't know that stylish models were ever resin and if you wanted a resin model you're definitely better off with the Tuescale version.

I think that I’ve just seen your ad, selling your model at ebay. In your ad you say that it’s missing a rear fender. From your photos, I believe that it’s missing its rear bumper, not fender. Good luck!

What a shame! Unfortunately I have no solution... But: Have you paid by PayPal? Then, please, "open a case". I had to do this more than one time (for bad packaging and damaged models, for example), and everytime I promptly received a refund for the complete billing sum.
As for the model: I saw this offer on ebay, too, and was curious. As I indeed own the "real" Stylish Cars model of this type (in metal!), I only wanted to see the details. I was suspicious concerning the missing rear bumper, the wrong (!) front bumper and the wrong wheels, they are much too small and are not the ones of the production series.
I could only imagine one explanation for all this: Mr Bauschus (the maker of Stylish Cars) mutually made some "test examples" before running the moulding in white-metal, and so your model may be one of the "pre-series" cars. I guess there's no other solution, as it would be almost impossible to "copy" an existing model and to equip it with all the brightwork and an excellent painting.
And on top: During the last years I tried to buy a series of Western Models Bugatti Atlantic and had to realize that WM made a complete series of Atlantics in die-cast, that means "zamac", instead of tin/white-metal! And that's not all: I have one single WM Atlantic - not to tell from all the others - which is made of: ALUMINIUM! Could you imagine?
Unfortunately the company of Bauschus/Stylish Cars seems to be not available anymore. All my efforts to contact them failed, probably Mr Bauschus is "pushing daisies"... So, if anyone's here for the gorgeous Stylish Cars Duesenbergs: I am still desperately looking for the Figoni model:
Made by Bauschus/Stylish Cars, in metal, of course!
So if you find one on your attic, please let me know!
And as for your case, Tihomir: Please try to get your money back, there will be another opportunity to get the metal model, anytime! Good luck!

I’m being quite tempted by Matrix’s version of that Duesenberg… 😬

Well, I paid not using PayPal and I should 've known better. It was too good to be true to get Stylish cars for that money even with some missing parts. Anyway, I have listed the model back for sale, hoping to recover most of my money.
