I’ve just received this beauty and, it’s missing one of the transparent flaps that go over the windows… This is how it should look: Here’s the one missing: Any ideas?

Transparent card from packaging would work, the frame could be scribed with a silver marker. The problem is that it should be really neatly made or it would look bad.
I'd complain to the vendor, if you've paid for a complete model.

I’ve already sent the seller a message. The model looked complete in his photos but, since the model was first sent to Andy, I guess that he could argue that it was complete when the model left his store. We’ll see. In any case, the problem doesn’t seem that bad!

You could also contact Matrix to see if they have spares available, but I suppose they will direct you back to the retailer.

I'd fabricate the bracket from thin sheet polystyrene and then attach the clear part.

It looks to me as if the silver is printed on, not etched. Am I correct?

If it were me and a replacement part wasn't available, I'd be inclined just to rip off the flap on the left hand side so both sides were the same. Would anyone else notice?

I’d rather always display it with the “good” side facing me! But, the problem here is not if someone would notice it, because nobody would and I couldn’t care less if they did! The problem is that I would always know that it’s missing something!

Julio, if the vendor dont answer properly, try Tom's first sugestion, with a little twist: Use the transparent package, but apply silver photo-etched spares/skeletons, if you have. Cut them thin, and fix them. Chrome markers are very tricky, and you can try crhome paint over decal sheet, but even when sealed, such thin decals with curves never give a good finish...

Thank you, mate! I’m still waiting for our expert model maker, Jean B., to answer me! If he’s unable to help me I still have a local contact that might be able to do it and, if that doesn’t work then I venture into repairing it myself!
