Now something different from the GTs and Sports Cars I usually present here:
This car was a very successful release from Renault, produced between 1965 and 1980, with more than 1.500.000 units.
It was somehow different from other competitors, with front-wheel drive and a body that was not a station or a hunting break.
Today there are still R16's changing hands in the classic car market, but never really felt there was true appetite for this interesting car.
Nevertheless, I think TS and TX versions would provide a fine driving expirience in a comfortable long trip or in city traffic, even for today's standards.
Many years ago, when I was a kid, I liked a lot the Corgi version of this car. Never got one until recently that I was offered this Norev model. This Norev is quite accurate, with good details.
Since I was not interested in Norev's Europe1 version, the work in this model was essentially interior care and a new exterior colour. After more than 50 years, finally I have a R16.
