Sereníssima V8 1968 – This interesting unique car was built for Count Volpi, an rich italian and sports car racing enthusiast. He created the Scuderia Sereníssima that raced Ferraris and Maseratis in early 1960's. In this case, he put an american V8 in italian body. This car only appeard in one or two minor racing events. I have a very unnacurate Politoys model of it, and I predict that it will be an epic task to do a proper recreation of the real car. Alfa Romeo 33/3 – 1969 – The natural evolution of the 33/2 model of the two previous years. This is a very beautiful car, even more beautiful and elegant in the closed/coupe version. The spyder version didn't succeed, and Lucein Bianchi died in one of those during 1969 LeMans practice/qualifying. As for the coupe, it only appeard in a couple of minor non-championship events, raced with success by Nino Vacarella. I dont know if any one of those still exists, even in Alfa Romeo museum. And also the also rare 33/4 “Tasman” that looks a lot like a Ferrari 512. Does any of you members have any of these in 1/43 scale?

It is possible that I also have the Politoys Sereníssima V8 but am not sure. I do not that particular Alfa though.

Spark have recently released this model of the Sereníssima V8 spyder that competed at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. Presumably this car formed the basis of the Sereníssima coupe.

Another one which would fit the theme: The 1968 Marcos Mantis XP. While cars of the era were all nicely rounded this appears to be designed with only a ruler and executed with an axe. Truly wild one. The mere fact that they built it at the first floor of their shop and had to cut the floor to get it out afterwards shows just how bonkers the project was. A great era, forever gone.

Sereníssima V8 1968 You will have to make an important surgical intervention. The pilars of windscreen, the windscreen itself. Do you intend to keep the motor hood operable? If you want to start from an existing model, may be it is better to use a Porsche 906, I guess the dimensions should be very similar.
