I have a couple of those Solido Mangustas, one original, the other a repaint. Excellent job on restoring it. Corgi also made a model of the Mangusta with a detachable chassis, I bought mine from a local shop and still have it in nice condition.

I have both that old Corgi and its Whizzwheel version, without the detachable chassis!

One of the most stunning designs of the 1960's. Nice restoration and yellow is the go to colour for it. The old Corgi was one of the best diecast models of it's time. It was recently re-released as part of the Corgi model club but a state of the art resin version is still required.

Very nice work! One of the many 'masterpieces' credited to Giugiaro. I hear you on the over-styling of the engine cover, but without it the car would have received much less press. As much as I admire these, I've never seen one in person. There's always tomorrow. A blue Minichamps resides in my boxes...

Nice work. One of my favoutire "toys" as a youngster was the red/oange and white Dinky(?) Mangusta - unfortunately when we moved from NZ to Australia in 1979 it didn't make the trip .

Looks fine, this Corgi. Good trick, dark colour to hide gaps!

That DeTomaso is a little off scale, hahahah! Model/box and photo are lovely though!

I love these models. I have the Corgi w/box that I got for a song at the Carlisle, PA Import Show many years ago.
I also have a Dinky that I restored.

My original Corgi lost its box, stripes and aerial in an effort to make it become slightly more realistic. Dinky White and Fluorescent red combo was strange. Solido/Verem were mostly acceptable renderings and Minichamps/Maxichamps finally delivered excellence. I have nine Mangustas in my 1:43 die cast collection. One red Verem is still waiting for it's passenger door broken hinges to be replaced.
A few years ago I was fortunate to meet a man who bought and imported an immaculate metallic Green 1:1 from Italy and showed it at some car shows. It was then auctioned off as he'd 'scratched the itch' and been there and done it lucky chap.
